    Best video on this 👌

  • @boossersgarage3239 says:

I’m NOT going to stop supplementing Taurine. Personal experience, at 67 YO I’m back in college, masters program. My classmates can’t tell how old I am.

” ”Minds” Rendered Senseless and Useless Have Always Something To Be Afraid About ”

  • @GaryRaheb says:

    I’ll also keep taking it
    Always trust you Siim
    And
Thank you for dispelling the fear
Though I hadn’t heard about any of those studies

  • @PensamientosDesnudos says:

also taurine have benefits for digestion in people without gallbladder

    • @SiimLand says:

      That’s interesting indeed

    • @PensamientosDesnudos says:

      Taurine boosts bile acid conjugation.
In a 1991 study on post-biliary surgery patients, taurine supplementation (~3 g/day) more than doubled taurocholic and taurochenodeoxycholic acid levels in bile, improving fat digestion and bile flow.
👉 Wang & Liaw, JPEN J Parenter Enteral Nutr., 1991.

  • @PensamientosDesnudos says:

I personally use taurine with magnesium glycine for better sleep

    • @thijsjong says:

5 10 gram glycine in warm water or tea. Magnesiunthreonate or magnesiumglycinate an tablet of taurine or Magnesiumtaurate. I might get over 400 mg og magnesium but thats no problem afaik. Sometimes L theanine.

  • @SalfRaettele says:

Is supplementing with taurine a few hours before or after your workout bad because of its antioxidant effects like it is with vitamin C or E for instance?

  • @violiendamast says:

Taurine is amazing. I lost my gallbladder because it was necrotic. Taurine keeps the quality of my bike high so it doesn’t irritate the gut lining, it calms me, and lots more

    • @OfficialBradChristian says:

My gallbladder is out too because I didn’t know any better. I had no idea Taurine helps the quality of bile. Do you also take TUDCA and bile salts?

  • @bastyo says:

It is protective. Glycine/taurine ratio is an indicator of stress, with taurine rising under stress to protect tissues. Another example is glucuronic acid rising in elderly people. Basically means the older/sicker you get the more glucuronidation/detoxification your body requires.

Next Week: Studies show we have been thinking about Sugar all wrong, It can actually slow down aging.

    • @BrettM-lw2zt says:

Watch Pottenger’s Human’s video about it. It can help you lose weight doesn’t mean it will slow down aging

    • @SMASH_REVIEWS says:

      @@BrettM-lw2zt cool

    • @SiimLand says:

These studies don’t challenge the established research on taurine supplementation in any way

    • @SMASH_REVIEWS says:

@@SiimLand yup i get it, i was just making a joke on the fickle nature of these so called research studies. Even a single deviation from these lab conditions and it completely changes the outcome, and the real world throws a million curve balls everyday.

    • @sourcebladegaming295 says:

      Hah, well….

  • @jerrywest7068 says:

    I’ll be continuing taurine.

  • @MarionMM says:

Good to hear, I just ordered more taurine this morning. 😄

  • @DrIIGerMusic says:

    Good job

  • @MarkusMattiasson says:

I’ve seen my blood taurine levels being lowered from taking supplemental taurine. Speaking of taurine, you should look into TUDCA.

  • @gettingstuffdoneright5332 says:

Saying don’t take taurine if you have cancer doesn’t help, the question is if you have nascent cancer is taking taurine accelerating growth?

  • @theancientsancients1769 says:

But this is the second study about Taurine associated with cancer. The previous ome from last year it was Taurine in energy drinks linked with tumours Growing faster

  • @akhileshp6419 says:

Great video. Precise and to the point.
I’m quite surprised by the claim that taurine doesn’t decline with age, since it goes against prior studies.
Cancer hijacking otherwise beneficial pathways isn’t that surprising to me, but informative to know this happens to certain taurine pathways as well

  • @george6252 says:

At age 74 I will stop taking taurine. This is the age when senior men get cancer because
of a reduced immune system. I can see 3 day water fasts immune system resets in my future.

  • @cajampa says:

I don’t care even a little bit. I am going to keep using 6-12g a day in divided doses.
    Because it works great
