@@Simnettnutrition What software are you using? I like the words like Bananas behind you and the info bubbles you use. Nice job! Been following you for years!

Walnuts are one of the cheapest nuts at Costco and come in a huge bag! They are conventional in MD, USA but also low on pesticide residue. Great to add to oatmeal or make walnut taco meat.

  • @marybrolin9562 says:

We add red lentils to our oatmeal for added protein. You donโ€™t even notice they are there.

    • @rh7968 says:

      I will try that

    • @christinag2542 says:

      What a good idea Thx!

    • @stacyebrim9702 says:

Do the red lentils cook at the same time as the oats?

    • @marybrolin9562 says:

@ Yes, we cook a pot of oatmeal with 2 cups of steel cut oatmeal, 1/2 c red lentils, 2 c plant milk, 2 cup water, 3 medjool dates, 2 apples, and 2 cup fruit (frozen or fresh) in an instant pot for 6 min. Then I add about 1 teaspoon of cinnamon (you can also add ginger, cardamom, etc) or taste. This makes enough for 2 people for 4-5 days. You can experiment with more lentils if you want.

Always love seeing these videos with Canadian stores.

  • @janetatuniquerawfoods2361 says:

I agree about that brand of oats. They taste better and feel better. Oats seem to have certain nutrients and qualities no other food can replace.

  • @FunkyToe369 says:

Maybe a part 2 to this video where you show some of your favourite ways to use these 10 ingredients?

  • @vgn_wrld3413 says:

derek youve been a handful of vegan role models for me as ive been vegan for 7 years now and i am getting in better phyical shape year by year, 35 years young!! loved that like 75% of your items you suggest and buy are my staples!! also found it amazing how your costco was not heavily crowded but i guess being in toronto is the reason.

You did such an amazing job editing this video! I’m in Canada too, and my go-to stores for shopping are Costco, Walmart, and Superstoreโ€”each one has its own great deals.
Iโ€™ve been vegan for 10 years now, and although I have a diploma in advanced holistic nutrition and a certificate in vegetarian & vegan nutrition, I still find your videos so inspiring and educational. Itโ€™s a breath of fresh air, especially with so many โ€œno longer veganโ€ videos popping up these days. Thank you for staying true to it and keeping your channel going strong! Always looking forward to seeing your videos. ๐Ÿ™‚
