Recipes:
Air fried Falafel
1 large can of chickpeas (drained and rinsed) (540 ml)
1/4 cup chopped parsley
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
1/2 small yellow or red onion (chopped)
3 garlic cloves
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp coriander
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp baking powder
Directions:
Blend everything together in a food processor. Form into balls or small patties, and air fry at 350F for 20 minutes, checking half way through. Remove from the air fryer and serve or let cool and put in the fridge for later.
Roasted veggies
Chop your favourite veggies, I used a yellow onion, mushrooms, zucchini, bell pepper, purple cabbage, asparagus, frozen broccoli. Add a splash of water and coat the veggies (this helps the seasonings stick). Add your favourite seasonings, I used garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cumin, and black pepper. I just eye balled everything but you can use 1-2 tsp of each. Air fry for 20 minutes and serve!
Easy Smashed Potatoes
12 small nugget potatoes
Topping (optional):
1 tbsp miyokoโs vegan butter (melted)
1 green onion chopped
3 cloves of garlic, grated
Pinch of salt and black pepper
Directions:
Wash and pat dry the biggest potatoes. Air fry them for 20 mins at 325F. Remove from the air fryer (they should be cooked through). Mash each potato with the back or bottom of a mason jar. Melt the vegan butter and place in a small jar or bowl. Add the rest of the ingredients to the melted butter and stir well. Using a silicone brush, brush the melted butter mix over the potatoes.
Place the smashed potatoes back in the air fryer and cook for another 7-8 mins at 325F or until crispy. Remove and enjoy!
Tofu & Black Bean Taco Mix
1 block of firm tofu, grated
1 can of black beans, drain and rinsed
1 package of taco seasoning (approx 2.5 tbsp taco seasoning)
1 bell pepper, chopped
ยผ of a yellow onion, chopped
Directions: Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl and spread onto the bottom of the air fryer basket. Bake for 20 mins at 325F. Remove and serve in either a hard shell taco or soft shell with additional taco toppings of your choice, for example salsa, chopped lettuce, etc
Pizza
1 package of dough (or enough dough for one medium sized pizza)
Your favourite pizza toppings
Vegan Cheese
1 jar of pizza sauce
Directions: Pre-heat the air fryer for 7 minutes, and while it is heating up, chop up your fsvourite pizza toppings and set them aside. Flour your cutting board and try your best to roll out your pizza dough. Plop dough in the air fryer basket when it is done pre heating. Place sauce on pizza, then cheese, the toppings. Cook pizza at 390F for 19 mins. Remove when finished and enjoy!
