  • Lori Watson says:

Just got a step tracker. I’m aiming for around 13,000+ steps a day! Feeling great!

I’m in, although I can’t take my doggo Scout with me all the time. He’s has some arthritis. He’s good for about 30 mins though 👍
I’d much rather walk with him but oh well. I’ll see how he goes now we Southerners are heading towards Summer.

  • Twana H says:

This is why I love Autumn: Way to ensure we incorporate some form of fitness during the holidays. Being off from work or going out of town can really throw someone off of their firness routine.
I’m recovering from COVID right now and my boyfriend said “You just need to take one of your walks.” Lol

  • Guylaine Lamoureux says:

Great tips. Timing for a walking challenge is on point. Thanks Autumn! 👍🍁❤️🍂🇨🇦

I have lost 40 pounds since May 1st…..using 18/6 IF and eating Keto. I walk outside several times a day on varied terrains getting 10-12k steps daily. I somehow knew instinctively how to maximize my walks, but thanks for confirming ❤

I struggle with exercising. I’m super motivated, can push past procrastinating and soreness if I’m out of shape, and don’t talk myself out of it. However – I have three autistic kids and am a SAHM. I walk 30 minutes a day (on a treadmill) in the mornings (when I’m most motivated), and even then, EVERY day I’m getting interrupted, breaking up fights, being asked for help, etc. It’s hard for me to schedule multiple/longer workout times, due to my days being unpredictable and again, constant interruptions. I’ve also noticed my step tracker isn’t tracking accurately (I know for a fact that I’ve walked more than 400 steps on a certain day despite the reading), and it doesn’t seem to read me on the treadmill (nor does my treadmill read steps).

It is okay to just do your best and remember that this is one season of life. You have your hands very full!! Staying home with your kids is a wonderful gift to them 🙂

    • Autumn Bates says:

It sounds like you’re doing the best you can with your very busy schedule ❤️

I started watching your videos a number of weeks ago. Your content really encouraged me to get out there and walk. I posted 104 miles in September and 108 miles so far this month. Improved my paced by over 1 minute 15 seconds this month, too. Thanks for sharing your experience.

  • Kristen H says:

Great video! I need drink tips!!! I eat less sugar and exercise better now, but I go for the sugar spike drinks I know I’m not supposed to, can you please make a new video on your favorite drinks that can replace my sugar binge ones? Maybe even ones ready to go at the store? Smoothies and blended drinks are great but I’m a Mom of three young kids I don’t have time to do fancy drinks I just need advice to convert my fridge over to some healthier options when I open it! Thanks 👍🙏

  • Rhonda Whitt says:

Is walking in place just as beneficial as actual walking around? I work at home on the computer all day… it’s easier to walk in place in front my computer sometimes. 😊

  • Carolyn Templin says:

I love your new kitchen! So beautiful!! You are being such a good example to your adorable baby .. I started walking then running with my jogger stroller with my boy and then treadmill workouts and videos .. he always saw me and is very athletic now …

  • Stacia Veenstra says:

???? Hi Autumn! I have an video request. How do you handle eating at someone’s house who does not care about healthy eating at all? We go to my husband’s grandma’s house every Wednesday for lunch and she makes the equivalent of a Thanksgiving dinner every week and dessert. She seems offended if I don’t eat anything or turn down dessert. Then on Thursday evenings, we go to my husband’s parents for dinner and it is a similar style of food. I hate using my treat meal on these occasions every week because then I have no control over what I get to pick for a treat. Not going is not an option because the family time is valued. HELP! ????

    • Jessica Smith says:

adjust what you eat that day since you know you are going there or say you are full and “bring the remainder home”

  • Jean Avery says:

Walking has been a total game changer for me. I do strength training 4 days a week, 2 upper body days, 2 lower body days, and my non-negotiable every day is a 4 mile walk, preferably outside, weather permitting. I sometimes do an incline walk on my treadmill twice a week as well. I average 12,000-15,000 steps a day, sometimes more.

  • Erin Fisher says:

Thank you for this, I’ve been doing marathons and half marathons and will switch to walking this next year just to see how my weight responds

  • Rachel Alyse Thomas says:

I’m excited for the challenge. I have a large pond on my property and walked around it tonight after dinner for 33 minutes. I’m looking to lose 25+ pounds. Adding these tips to my tool belt!

  • Eboni Daneen says:

I’m excited for this challenge. I’ve been pushing myself to walk everyday while my kids nap. But now they want to come so I’m gonna do after meals with them they’ll love it & mommy gets a workout yay !! Getting a fitness tracker now

  • Linda White says:

Joining the walking challenge. Thanks Autumn!

  • Marián Javorčík says:

And walk is good for clearing the head too. I walked 1500 miles last year to improve my insulin resistance and health problems from it.

  • Robert says:
