My morning routine is get up, have a coffee, get dressed and sit on a train for an hour to the city to sit in a boring office all day. You’re routine looks like heaven to me.

  • EmptyMind says:

    How lovely

  • kindcounselor says:

I open my eyes, sit on the edge of my bed and thank God for my life. I stretch my arms upward, to both sides. I slowly stand up and go to the bathroom. Go to the kitchen, take my B12, drink my decaffeinated coffee and grapes. While I do that, I do at least one crossword puzzle. I then go out on my porch, feed the squirrels and birds in my backyard. From there I go into my study and write in my journal. Then start my daily study of the Stoics, the Tao te Ching and the Bible. Afterwards I practice Qigong. Sometimes I walk.

You really have an unrealistic life

  • Geraldine Fleischer says:

I wake up stretch like a cat arms over my head while I point and flex my feet. Thank the good Lord He’s given me a new day of life and ask Him to come into my being so I make wise decisions. Then I get out of bed and gab my water to start hydration let my cat outside and sit in my yellow rocking chair and listen or read to Sabbath school lesson for today and then I walk down the hill lane to open up my 17 hen chickens and continue around the circle driveway up the hill to porch . Then I put on my crocks and do some more stretching exercises and do fast feet for 30 seconds and 90 seconds lesser exercises like bat wings and jogging in place. I do a total of 6 of these fast feet reps. By this time my husband is up and ready to eat. So we eat together. We are blessed to be able to celebrate our 49th anniversary last month. I try to do these exercises again before a meal if I’m not so busy😊
These exercises has really helped me tighten up my bladder muscles! Hey! 🤗

Open doors and let all the good air in
Get a cup of coffee w heavy frothed cream
    Read my Bible
Work out 3 x a week at Barre 3 or run

  • Janette Neave says:

Wake at 5.30, make a coffee, have a shower, get dressed, drink my luke warm coffee, go the loo, coat on, grab my bag then out the front door for work. 12 days on 2 days off.

  • Helena Bok says:

I start with epiphora breathing exercises. Than lower back exercises. Both still in bed. Than it’s time to start the day: say hi to my cat, cuddle him and give him food. I take a glas of boiled water. Go out for a 30 minute walk or exercise inside (depending on time and weather). Shower, dress, have breakfast and start my day.
Want to implement daily writing and meditation but working on that. It’s not fully in my routine yet.

    Okay

  • TracyM🥰 says:

My morning routine- slam a monster energy drink, turn on my favorite up beat music, struggle to get up. After the third snooze alarm, I drag myself to the shower, stand with my hands on the wall and try to wake up. No breakfast, feed the dogs, get ready and go to work… sounds like I need some help. That’s why I am HERE🫠🤣 to learn from the peaceful and the beautiful

  • victoria chow says:

I wake up, snooze the alarm at least 3 times. Get up go to the loo then make a cup of tea. Come back upstairs, get a shower and get dressed, make my lunch for work then go to work. All in about half an hour because Ive snoozed the alarm too many times. I keep thinking Ive got to change this and get up much earlier and exercise and stretch etc. Right Im going to do it tomorrow. Ill keep you all poated.

  • Caz says:

That used to be routine in 2019. Without my exercise, I feel lost now and in joint pain. I used to get up at 5 am, out the door for work at 8 am for a 45 minutes car journey to work. I used to do 1 hour of either Hiit or 40 minutes on my spin bike. I am now lucky to get up at 7 am due to taking medication for anxiety. I now get lost in the news, and then calm myself by doing art with sugar.

Thank you for the reminder. I will try to get back into a routine at home and try swimming on an evening to wind down and swap exercise due to foot and joint injury. Maybe I will try 20 minutes yoga in the morning instead.

    Thank you Shelly 😊

  • Caz says:

I love your bedding and Thai style wooden furniture. Beautiful style.

  • Lady Cactus says:

I’m retired and I have, thanks to God, enough with my half-pension and soc sec to live modestly. It’s taken me a while since retirement to figure a routine, but here goes: I get up an hour before sunrise, so the time changes with the seasons. I move around a bit to clear the adenosine, have a glass of water with salt (I live in a VERY dry climate), make the bed and tidy as needed; then I have a cup of decaf. I learned that caffeine right after waking up impedes the removal of adenosine from your system, which causes the slump when the caffeine wears off. I listen to a daily devotional for half an hour, then write my “morning pages”—all the gunk I can think of, memories, ideas, plans. By then 90 min have passed and I can have teal coffee! Then, I ground in my backyard and look at the low rays from the sun for about 10 minutes, water the plants.
Then, I shower, do the five Tibetan Rites, or one of Shellea’s wonderful workouts, get dressed for the day and plan for whatever i have to do. I eat at 11-12 and again at 5-6, that’s it. I’m a writer and would-be artist, and I read a lot, so all that plus housekeeping keeps me busy!
