    I’m allergic to avocado. Seems like a lot of healthy recipes have avocado in them. What can I use to substitute the avocado??

      It would probably depend on the recipe. Is it there for the texture, the taste, the decadence, or the healthy fat? Once you figure that out, it’s easier to make a swap. πŸ™‚

      It depends on the recipe! But you can often sub avocado for an equivalent serving of nuts or seeds.

      Sourdough in general is more healthy/easier to digest because it’s fermented (assuming it’s real sourdough), but what kind of sourdough bread it is, as well as what else is in it, makes a big difference. For instance, you can make cinnamon buns from white sourdough, and that will have a much different impact on your body, than whole grain sourdough with lots of seeds and whole ingredients. πŸ™‚

      Depending on your carb sensitivity, real sourdough is a better option than most other breads

    I used to believe sugar hindered my weight lost until I did a 30 day test after watching another YouTuber eat sugar and still managed to lose weight…..I literally ate 2 kingsize snickers a day for 30 days that’s not all I ateπŸ˜‚I did eat enough normal healthy food added with the snickers to about 1800 calories…..And I still lost 2-3 pounds a weekπŸ‘‰πŸ»Because I kept myself in 700 calorie deficit daily. I was always scared to put any kind of sugar in me during dieting and this was to prove to myself sugar does not make you gain weight if you stay in that calorie deficitπŸ‘πŸ»This is not something I’m going to do……This was just to let myself know sugar was not the enemy and having it occasionally won’t kill you.

      Having added sugar occasionally won’t kill you, that’s definitely true. But when considering sugar’s impact on the body, and even the mind, there is a LOT more to it than weight-loss. And most people it seems consume it much more than occasionally. I’d wager there are many who every day of their lives, consume the equivalent or more of those two king size chocolate bars.

      I would be gaining with that added caloric load. That’s more calories than I eat daily.

      The more sugar I consume, the more I crave it and think about it. For me, I need to abstain.

      @Suzanne Carrier It’s definitely addictive, and more so when it’s not just plain sugar. Things like candy bars are literally designed to addict you. It really is just about staying away, and this from a life-long sugar addict myself. πŸ™‚

      When I found myself thinking about food during the day, like bagels, english muffins, and goodies , I realized I was a carb addict. Some people can moderate but abstinence is another option.
