What a marvelous lesson. Wonderful suggestion of adding the ingredients shown in a salad each day. I truly appreciate your work and sharing info on living a healthy life style

  • Jade Rose says:

Thankyou Dr Becky always love your videos.
I learned recently that organic eggs have a higher ratio of Omega 3 than free range eggs!
I add pumpkin seeds to my green salads a good source of minerals especially magnesium which is good for my hypothyroid condition. Nori snacks also good for mineral content and to sprinkle on salads for seasoning. ๐ŸŒธ

  • David Ivers says:

Thanks Becky for a great video. It’s also very easy to make a healthy olive oil vinaigrette. Maybe you can share a recipe.

  • Deborah Benjamin says:

I have battled my weight all my adult years. This is the only way my body responds by losing weight. I have believed in low carb, high fat for decades, before high fat was popular, my family thought I was crazy. I don’t stick to it strictly, thus it has taken me years to at least get down to the weight I am at now, a 70 plus loss. I now have family members that are doing it with great results also. I am confident if I incorporate the MCT oil on a regular basis, (because I have only used it occasionally), I will start losing even more! ; )

  • greeninjaize says:

This is exactly the stuff i’ve been eating on a daily basis already and it’s really good advice!

  • Marni says:

    |Make your own salad dressing! Takes just a few minutes and is so much better for you than anything in a bottle; 2 parts Extra Virgin Olive Oil plus 1 part either fresh lemon juice or apple cider vinegar and a little dijon mustard to emulsify. Add it all to an empty jar, shake and voila. Easy, cheap and completely healthy.

  • Cyndi Manka says:

Iโ€™m not learning anything new but I watch because you two are awesome and so motivating. Thank you so much. I do everything you guys show!! 30 down 25 to go!!

  • Santos says:

Thanks Dr. Becky. Your videos & the knowledges you express are really understanding.
I feel like a student in class. Great job!

  • Lissybird says:

I put MCT in my coffee every morning with stevia and organic half n half….Iโ€™m addicted!
Iโ€™m not hungry until lunch where Iโ€™ve adopted a daily giant salad with a protein (usually chicken or whole fat cheese)
I ALWAYS make my own dressing with olive oil and apple cider vinegar, salt and pepper.
Iโ€™m healing from a fatty liver and insulin resistance and probably other things too but I donโ€™t feel itโ€™s necessary to know what from. As long as I eat this way, I know Iโ€™m getting better and my body pain is shrinking.
I donโ€™t listen to โ€œDoctorsโ€ because I feel like Iโ€™m not going to listen to their load of crap anyway! I just turned 50!

Then I dropped my lifestyle with lchf after almost 4 years. and pain and inflammation came back . But now Im in my p4th again

    • Garry Burgess says:

@Aziz hasan Suffer it out and ditch the smoking. Smoking is the #1 cause of heart attack now.

  • Luisa Moore says:

Itโ€™s curious that so many people want to do clean keto to lose weight, but I want to adopt the diet due to its general health benefits (and because itโ€™s great for digestive issues). I fight it hard to keep enough weight on with this diet actually!

  • Jade Rose says:

Thank you Dr Becky for your expertise and clear guidance. ๐Ÿ‘โœจ

Can you throw guidance on my dietary needs with regard to hypothyroidism. Iโ€™m a mature 70yr old lady and finding satiety is the key to staying away from excess carbohydrates and sugars.

Fortunately I enjoy certain salads in the warmer weather especially that are easy to digest.
I use Olive oil and avocado oil with added nuts to my diet Brazilโ€™s, walnuts and almonds in small quantities.
Iโ€™ve looked at diets for hypothyroidism, anti inflammatory Keto, intermittent fasting to name a few! I have to be careful with brassicas,
soya, bean sprouts, some grains, omitting legumes. I have to go steady with the onion family garlic etc…
Onion and garlic are good for home made vegetable soup, mildly spiced but I have to go steady on root vegetables.
Please can you give some of your expertise on things mentioned.
I used slippery elm, gia seed puddings made with organic almond milk, took supplements L- glutamine, cut down on meats, dairy cut out alcohol completely because of a non alcoholic liver and my hypothyroidism.
Constipation has been an issue. Fresh lemon in warm water help with peristalsis in the mornings.
I do have pure organic coffee in the morning which also helps kick start my day.

Thankyou again. Your videos are excellent. ๐ŸŒธ

  • Peter Powell says:

I love avocado ๐Ÿฅ‘ and eggs! I make an egg salad half an avocado with 4 eggs ! Really yummy! I used avo instead of mayonnaise. Just an idea that worked for me! Happy trails to y’all on this journey of health! Thanks ๐Ÿ‘

  • SKT says:

Everything sounds great. For dressing salad, forget commercially bottled stuff. Just use delicious healthy mix of raw organic Apple Cider Vinegar, Extra Virgin Olive Oil and freshly squeezed lemon/lime. Along with walnuts, also add to the salad Macadamia, Pecans, Brazilian Nuts, Pistachios and peeled Almonds. Don’t forget to toss in some seeds – chia, pumpkin, flax etc.

  • Goldy says:

Thank you Dr. Gillaspy. Love your channel. Just a comment on cholesterol. Most people with cholesterol issues are primarily hereditary. Cutting out all the positives of eggs and other proteins by eliminating them from your diet causes bigger health issues in the long run. Good fats, quality proteins count. Eggs are the most complete protein with all of the amino acids needed to build and maintain muscle. Thank you for you r calm and clear videos and keep up the great work!

  • A G says:

Thank you for the info about MCT oil, I’m interested in trying that in my coffee! I also loved the tip about adding walnuts to salad. Thanks again Dr. Becky โค๏ธ

  • Willie Wonka says:

Great video, glad it was mentioned to watch out for the seed/vegetable oil in salad dressings. There is always olive oil and vinegar.

  • Jean White says:

That is a really unique โ€œ vegetable โ€œ container๐Ÿ˜Š. I love that you used it for colourful Vegetables. I love to keep fruit in my very common glass dish but I hate that we donโ€™t use up the fruit fast enough to keep it really fresh. I truly enjoy your helpful videos. Thank You
