  • Subzero says:

Intermittent fasting is a good tool if you have a hectic schedule. Mix it with low carb meals in your eating window and you’re golden.

  • Judy Bloom says:

I got really depressed at the beginning of the year and stopped fasting entirely. I had been doing 16/8 for several years and I’m up 20lbs. It makes a huge difference
Just started again this past Monday .. 😊

  • Alyse Zalazinski says:

I have been Intermittent Fasting for over 4 years now and I’ve lost 47 pounds and I feel so healthy!!

  • Rebecca B says:

I would love a part two on anything fasting! I did OMAD and loved it for a while but I found that I plateaued after doing the same thing over and over. Any advice on how to combat that would be great! 🙂

    • Jessica Mendez says:

Hi! I just finished reading “Fasting Like a Girl” from Dr. Mindy. She explains that plateaus happen when we don’t change our fasting times and our bodies adapt. It’s a more like we have to trick our body. Also, talks about women fasting according to our cycle. Highly recommend!

    • Cee Bee says:

Throw a 36 to 42 hour fast in a week and the weight loss kicks up again. It works for me

    • Suzanne Carrier says:

Try varying the times that you fast. Fool your body.

Yes! Been fasting for 6 months now and I am 10 lbs down! Never going to stop! It’s an easy way to diet. I eat what ever I want! Nothing is off the table. I eat between noon and 6pm. You really need to clean fast! Only water, black tea, or black coffee, during the fasting window.

  • Glenn McDonald says:

Been doing omad for a while now.Trick is not to overeat on that meal. Calorie deficit still plays a part. Doing exercise and weights aswell i found having a protein shake before or after that meal helps me stop overeating and provides the extra protein.

  • Migdalia Pollard says:

Hola Mayra! I have been fasting for two months the 16 hours fasting from 5 pm to 9 am and I love it! I lost weight and I feel more energetic and focus. I also like the fact that makes me drink more water and keeps me hydrated while I’m fasting. It has so many benefits 💕

  • jeezze07 says:

  • Ashley says:

Please do a part 2!!! On how to intermittent fast all of it! I just started and been loving the extra energy!

  • Kendra Kimbrough says:

I would love a part two. I just started OMAD 3 days ago. I am trying to break through a plateau. I never thought I would be able to do OMAD, but I feel great. Thank you for kind of giving me permission to eat some foods I’m craving because I have been doing keto as well.

  • LoweyLo says:

Please do a part 2. I am post menopausal, but 2 years ago I did IF and was sooo happy with my weight! I am petite (5’) and couldn’t seem to get below 120. After IF, I was down to 110. But then, I got Covid and soon thereafter had an overactive thyroid and lost even more weight, but felt horrible. I started eating for comfort to feel better. Once the meds stabilized my thyroid, I’m now up 15 pounds 😡. I think you mentioned something about a thyroid disorder at one point? Anyway, yes to part 2. Thank you for all you do for us!!!! You’re the best. ❤

  • Patrisia Vasquez says:

I feel like this is a huge refresher for me. I’ve been struggling with fasting or ideas on what to do since having my daughter in 2020. I will be doing omad and egg fast starting tomorrow, thank you Mayra ❤!

  • Mp Par says:

  • Doug says:

Love your vids. Yes fasting works as it depletes sugar/glucose stores. I don’t do any Keto at all, just 14 to 16 hr intermittent fasting 2 meals a day, eating equal ratios of carbs, protein and fat (about 33% each).
The ONLY other diet trick I do besides I.F. to keep weight off is increasing thermic effect (calorie-burning). So drinking herbal teas like green tea, adding certain spices and a bit more protein keeps my metabolism elevated for long. I ain’t worried about gaining weight from compex carbs I eat since the protein and carbs are more thermic than fat. And hence, I ain’t interested in Keto diet, just eating balanced diet. So for those who are worried their metabolism will slow down from fasting, just increase the thermic effect of the food/drink.

  • Kathe Akaija says:

Yes!! I do IF (Intermittant Fasting) daily 16-20 hrs….fast 48 hrs weekly, 72 hrs seasonally. Ive lost almost 100 lbs. Broke a stubborn 6 month stall by adding the weekly 48 hr fasting. At 66, weigh what I weight in my 30’s! Feel great! NO meds! Sleeping GREAT! TONS of energy. Still working full time with no plans to retire!😉

  • catbertie says:

I think we each need to find the lifestyle that fits our body best. Like you, I’ve tried it all and living a fasting lifestyle works for me. For me, my window is 6 hours and it opens at 6:00am. Yes, this means I (normally – I adjust as needed) I don’t eat late afternoon snacks or dinner. Has helped with acid problems associated with sleep. Everyone needs to experiment!! …..we don’t have young children in the house which would make my style harder to do.

  • Stephanie Jones says:

Great explanation on fasting! I love how you broke everything down. Thanks for sharing! I love your channel!❤😊

  • VisorGirl says:

Absolutely love all of your fabulous recipe videos but to get to hear your story and have you share your specific journey – incredible!!!
TOTALLY agree with OMAD in a 1-2 hour eating window. I lost
118 lbs in 10 months doing this. All meals were very low carb. Gin Stephens’ books “Delay, Don’t Deny” and “Fast, Feast, Repeat” are the ultimate resources for this way of life!
