Ditch Air Fresheners for a Healthier Home!

Those store-bought air fresheners might make your home smell nice, but they come with hidden risks:

1️⃣ They can worsen indoor air quality, similar to outdoor pollution, thanks to numerous chemicals.

2️⃣ Prolonged exposure can lead to respiratory issues and hormonal imbalances.

3️⃣ Opt for natural alternatives like essential oils or oil diffusers to keep your home smelling fresh and safe.

Air fresheners may be a silent threat in your space, so make the switch to a healthier, natural option. Your health will thank you!

I’ll make sure I throw them out, put them in the rubbish along with any biscuits or bread that I might still have.

For anyone wanting an alternative, try simmer pots! I use some canned pumpkin, cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, a sliced apple, some ground cinnamon, pumpkie pie spice and vanilla extract. Add water, bring to a full boil and then pull back to low boil and let that baby go all day! Add water frequently as it boils off. It smells soooooo good and the scent lingers for a few days afterwards. It wouldn’t be fall around here without it. Really sets the mood.

Yes I’ve hated air freshener since I was a little kid I would unplug the air fresheners at work 🫁

I don’t know. Even breathing in diffused essential oils likely isn’t good for you.

For the most part feel that if it is unhealthy to eat the source then one should not bother breathing it.
bad enough its dispersed into the environment in the air and drinking water
