Coffee pods, while convenient, come with some concerns:

1. Environmental Impact: Many coffee pods are not environmentally friendly, contributing to plastic waste.

2. Health Concerns: There are worries about microplastics released when pods are heated, potentially affecting health.

3. Cost: Coffee pods can be more expensive over time compared to traditional methods.

Due to these concerns, many are switching to eco-friendlier brewing methods like using whole beans and reusable filters.

Your choice should balance convenience, taste, and environmental considerations. If health concerns arise, opting for a more sustainable approach may be wise.

You have a typo, it should be “why coffee is unhealthily.” 😉

It’s also difficult to find a normal filter coffee machine that doesn’t have a plastic filter. I keep buying one cafetiere after another t I get fed up cleaning the metal filter as you can never get it fully clean and eventually it ends up mangled. I’m not sure what would be a solution to this plastic issue. I don’t have the cash or space for a cafe style coffee machine in my kitchen. I’ve taken to drinking instant coffee now which isn’t ideal.
