Not me losing 90 pounds since 2020 while eating SEVERAL servings of Nuts and healthy fats PER DAY and STILL lost weight, as explained in by weight loss story video. This is ridiculous. LOL!

  • @ricesteam5926 says:

Tiktok is so dangerous, it concerns me that people who aren’t even trained professionally give out advice in a content format that is meant to be consumable and short-form. Thank you for debunking these, it’s very important to understand the actual information behind the food we eat and how we can make our lifestyle healthier. 💓

  • @carolinelapano4615 says:

Fascia release is amazing for many reasons – but immediate weight loss is not one of them lol. It’s a great tool to add into your routine among weightlifting etc for recovery purposes but I don’t see it doing much for weight loss lol.

  • @Chevalier541 says:

Abbey, you may not see this but your videos have helped me recognize some unhealthy eating habits I started to form and educated me on better ways I could manage my needs while identifying harmful information like you shown. Thank you!

P.S. your editing is hilarious. 😆

  • @zee7190 says:

Hi Abbey…. I absolutely love your videos. They are so informative. Can you please do one on the best electrolyte to take to workout and which ones work while doing IF.

  • @GiseMacorte says:

People like Abbey Sharpe are so important and so needed especially now a days eating disorders are skyrocketing and it’s so sad 😢 We need Abbey

    • @janetslater129 says:

ED has been around. I think that there’s been more focus on it, people are finally coming out of the woodwork about it.

  • @mika_5476 says:

Someone has to do something like Abbey’s doing with the body building channels. I haven’t heard such eating disordered talk since I was in psych in the early 2000s. It’s insane and appears to now be moving toward women, especially in relation to using external substances.
Any video that does currently attempt to pull a part some of the issues always, ALWAYS, has a caveat of, “he/she obviously looks fantastic and has great genetics….” Imagine if Abbey was saying that about Eugenia Cooney, and then went on to explain a few of the dangers – we wouldn’t listen!
Point being, if there’s anyone out there, more artistic and confident than I, there is a need for a channel that you could create!!

  • @roseteasdale says:

As someone who wrote a whole assignment about the correlation between increase in stress and norepinephrine and weight gain at uni.. whilst under a lot of stress… the irony was not lost on me that I gained a lot of weight in my last year 😂

  • @shaunawatts9654 says:

The advice in those claims hurt to listen to.😑I appreciate your extra sass. It really disturbs me how anyone, on the internet or otherwise, can present themselves as an expert on a subject with the health of the public on the line.

  • @killope89 says:

I love listening to you while working out 🏋️ thank you for your knowledge it’s gold and has helped me a lot

  • @jacquelinexoxx says:

Regularly watching your videos has made me so much more skeptical of diet culture and these anti-science tips. Thanks for another great video!

  • @mrm8171 says:

I have been seeing a nutritionist for 4 years with up and down progress. What worked for me in the first 6 months, isn’t working now. It’s beyond crazy how much misinformation is on the internet like these “one size fits all” methods from completely unqualified people.

  • @Liter8ure says:

The water information makes so much sense. I grew up with severe enuresis that worsened with night. To this day, it still has to be controlled through medication or I have accidents all day and all night. So while I was growing up, my fluids were heavily restricted and measured to keep me functional in school and to prevent triggering more accidents. I’m 34 and struggle so much with understanding the difference between thirst and hunger. My body is unable to tell the difference between them, and it has really impacted my health over time. I can’t imgaine not having to deal with that but inducing it through trying to hack a calorie deficit with water. Dieting keeps so many of us in such a chokehold.

  • @brendamclean8447 says:

I always learn so much from this channel. Your content is just the best. Thanks for all the hard work and research Abbey

  • @leannewalker1422 says:

I eat an avocado, a tablespoon of peanut butter and chia/pumpkin seeds every day. I’ve lost 42 lbs since last year and my skin has never looked better!!

  • @devvandyke1195 says:

I lost the 65 lbs I gained during quarantine by counting calories. I ate everything I wanted, just less of it. I had dessert every single day and often enjoyed cashews because honey roasted cashews are probably my favorite snack on the planet.

  • @constancegabriel-haevecker5912 says:

Love both of those lipstick colours on you!
I am in the minority as I will hardly lose any weight by being in a moderate caloric deficit without any exercise. Even if I move enough (but not doing exercise), my weight will not shift. I am petite (but not slim petite) and my body seems to be unnervingly energy efficient.
And contrary to popular opinion, heavy cardio does not increase my appetite at all. Quite the opposite, it reduces my appetite substantially (and your explanation on cortisol might be the reason, now I finally know why).
So the “just eat less to lose weight” or “you can’t outrun your fork” advice doesn’t work for me, and never has. Exercise for weight loss seems to be mandatory for my body.

  • @blumoon3100 says:

If you hear someone saying the secret to weight loss is to not eat real food, RUN AWAY. These people are ridiculous.

The part about cortisol levels!!!! I honestly had no idea it’s post-exercise purposes. Thank you for educating people beyond the simplicities of Fit-stagram
