Love all of these! Lucky for me I’m allergic to mint so no pricey candy canes for me — but I’d totally make that bark without the candy canes. Yes, can you please do a video on a really awesome vegan side dish that we can bring to a family gathering — that tastes so awesome and everyone would like?

  • @AmandaJYoungs says:

I will definitely try the first two, and probably the third, without the candy canes. I don’t know if I’ll try them all this year, but I’m always looking for treat/snack recipes so these will be great to keep in my file as well. Thank you, Derek, I’m so glad you understand that even people who want to eat healthy food enjoy a little splurge now and then! πŸ™‚ Warm good wishes to you both for the holiday season.

  • @leslieparsons4547 says:

Ahhhhh, this video put me in a festive mood. I’d like a video of veggie side salads (i.e. not lettuce based) to enhance the holiday menu. BTW, he’s right, the lentil loaf is great. The next time I make it I’m going to lighten up on the cumin, per my personal taste. I pre sliced and put the leftovers in the freezer layered between wax paper. I reheated for future meals in a toaster oven. I’m curious to try it in a sandwich. OK, now I’m hungry…….. Keep up the good work Simnett!

You are so amazing. Always giving us 10/10 content πŸ™ŒπŸ»

  • @franciscagusmao7083 says:

I have been testing these chocolate and nut bars to gift away for Christmas, so I have a bunch in the cupboards. I had to go find me some to watch you make your own version. Delicious. πŸ˜‹

The lentil loaf is really great, and everyone seems to love it, vegans and non-vegans alike. We make it often and have even created different loaf styles. So maybe that is something you can consider – making and sharing a different loaf recipe.

    Thank you as always.

  • @anjah.3206 says:

Such mouth watering treats 🀀 Everything looks absolutely yummy. Thank you so much guys πŸ₯° Lots of love from Berlin Germanyβ™₯

  • @mandym8781 says:

Yummmmmm! These all look so good!
Love the Christmas kitchen and seeing one of cats hiding up there ❀️😽

  • @dustin55514 says:

    These look great! Thank you.

If you’re looking to try a new recipe you should try making a Mushroom Wellington or a Lions Mane Mushroom Steak. They are easy to make and great for a holiday or a date night.

We would love more healthy Christmas recipes!

  • @doveandolive1153 says:

Sweet and Spicy nuts are my favorite which is why I don’t make them often as they are so addictive. They make a great gifts too. I’ll be trying out the popcorn recipe over the holidays I’m sure that one will be a crowd please. I nearly fainted when I saw the price of the candy canes – I’ll pass adding that to the bark for this year anyways. BIG YES for additional holiday food ideas – snacks, main meals, sides, desserts you name it as the holidays can last for a couple of weeks while getting together with family and friends so it’s nice to have variety. I’ll be checking out your lentil loaf. Thanks so much!

  • @WattonTwins91 says:

We have always loved your Christmas recipes! We still make the lentil loaf! Keep the holiday recipes coming! πŸŽ„πŸŽ…πŸŒ¨

  • @joeyhachtman7612 says:

I heat up carob syrup in a small skillet, let it sizzle then add chopped nuts. Little syrup goes a long way. Stir till all are coated. Cook about 5 minutes, then cool on wax paper. Roughly 1 tablespoon syrup to about a cup of chopped nuts. Also, buy candy canes after Christmas and use next year. Super cheap and they don’t go bad! Caramelized nuts great in Asian stir fry!

  • @moriahs82119 says:

More Christmas recipe videos sounds great!! These look sooo tasty. Can’t wait to try them!

  • @TheHardyharhar says:

Oh these look so good! I bet they are also perfect as a small, but very fancy present instead of home-made cookies. But maybe you could make a video about how to make vegan Christmas cookies? Maybe including some cookies from other countries, too, like Vanillekipferl (vanilla crescents), Kokosmacronen (coconut macaroons) or Spekulatius (spekulaas), just to name some traditional cookies from Europe πŸ™‚

  • @lisakirkby1727 says:

These all look like great treats to take to family things over the holidays. Who says vegan eating isn’t fun? Great video as always ❀

  • @bahuelga says:

Making that chocolate bark (plus a variety of nut and seed butters!) for small gifts this year πŸ™‚ so excited!

  • @TheSamMcKeown says:

    Yes please, more Christmas recipes!
I’m definitely making the nut one, they all look so delish

  • @FairyTaleNailz says:

Made the popcorn right away! Our home smells like Christmas! Love it! Thank you!❀

  • @chilombe says:

Hey Derek! – Just wanted to say you have continued to inspire me to be a little more “whole plant-based” and more active over the YEARS! Happy festive season!

  • @sunnylinkfield917 says:

Derek, you blew me away with these recipes! I really appreciate it, PLEEEEEZE share more holiday recipes🌞
