Can Getting Transfusions of Young Blood Slow Aging?

Ready for the mind-blowing twist in the mystery of why the injection of blood from young animals into old ones has a rejuvenative effect?

If you missed it, the previous video was Parabiosis Experiments Prove Bloodborne Aging Factors ( ).

My new book, How Not to Age ( ), is all about aging, and you can get your copy now at your local public library or wherever books are sold. If you haven’t seen them yet, check out the book trailer ( ) and my new presentation ( ). (As always, all proceeds I receive from all of my books ( ) are donated to charity.)

    Amazing.

  • @RoughNeckDelta says:

Anyone know where regular people can get this done?

    • @bashisobsolete.pythonismyn6321 says:

plant based diet to keep your blood vessels clear. take a daily low-dose aspirin. several times a day, eat fresh fruit. stay hydrated with a weak brew of hibiscus / green tea / fresh lemon.

    • @projekte.a.s.i.5112 says:

Some far away island with conspiracy theorists, I guess.

  • @chimneycakes1592 says:

Dr Greger what do you think NAD+ supplement?

  • @wadepatton2433 says:

Tech note: Finally a change in the intro bumper. I don’t love it, but the duration is good. Hate it when they’re way too long and loud. Thanks for the semi-retro bumper we have now. These things “add up” when you watch 20-30 videos in a row like I did when “catching up” several years ago. Carry on.

    • @oskariKN25 says:

my problem is the shreaking sound the current intro makes, it also strikes me as unnecessarily old in visual quality, Just a small visual effect logo popping out of thin air or something would be better.

    • @bashisobsolete.pythonismyn6321 says:

probably designed that way for an older audience.

    • @wadepatton2433 says:

@@bashisobsolete.pythonismyn6321 The bent drum note sounds like a cartoon sound effect. May as well make it a gong crash.

  • @barbarasaunders2160 says:

So would therapeutic bloodletting be the same?

    • @wadepatton2433 says:

How could it not be if the volume is similar to giving blood and that amount is beneficial. Bring on the leeches! I can’t give blood, lowers my bp too much.

    • @barbarasaunders2160 says:

@@wadepatton2433 I was thinking about getting a prescription for therapeutic donating.

  • @DrSpooglemon says:

So how do we achieve that same results without having needles poked into us? Is it kale? Please tell me it’s kale.

  • @Adeday_Mamo says:

i CAN’T WAIT for the Bryan Johnson & DrGreger thoughts.

  • @monicasong427 says:

    Human relevant studies only please.

  • @julianvega2677 says:

Studies show that pregnancy has protective effects on the mother’s heart. Is this similar?

  • @MakeUpTraffic says:

Well, certain people have been doing it for a long time .

  • @magicalmerk says:

is this the same as giving a blood plasma donation? I have a friend who donates twice a week, they basically stick a needle in his arm and suck out the blood. I’m guessing they replace with saline. He even gets paid!

    • @isabellezablocki7447 says:

When you donate blood, they don’t give you a saline solution in exchange. I got a saline solution only once back in my arm because I could not get up after giving my blood without fainting.

  • @RexBuyeo says:

What if I donate blood or platelets? Will I get the same benefits?

  • @Mark-xt8jp says:

I’d be curious if people who donate blood regularly vs those who don’t, see different rates of these aging related diseases.

  • @jskweres2 says:

So how do I implement this without going to a doctor?

  • @tamcon72 says:

The comments under this one are more amusing and clever than usual, and the info was interesting, so thanks for posting!

  • @donhorn8070 says:

Exciting video. So can we thin our blood by simply drinking 2 or 3 cups of water. Dr G kinda left us hanging. He knows how to create anticipation. P.S. loving your new audio book.

  • @SS-uf7ks says:

Woe to those who would argue in favor of vivisection. Intellectually, your knowledge on the subject is lacking to say the least. But that pales in comparison to the pathetic, depraved nature of your hearts.

So horrific and indescribably heartbreaking what goes on to these animals. And so heartbreaking what happened to the children. The children who are in Heaven, the pope on the other hand…. And likewise, the innocent mice only fools see little worth in as if they could evaluate anything, are in Heaven and as they continue to be demonically tortured until they’re thrown away dead or just thrown away while they’re still alive, are only destined for Heaven… Whereas the vivisectors…. Now what position do you think it would leave you in to be on the side of the evil pope? And so, what position do you think it places you in to be on the side of those who torture animals? In the name of… well, it doesn’t matter why anymore than it mattered why the pope felt it was necessary to bleed the children.

As for the last remark in this video, how absurd to find anything wrong with donating plasma to help age-related disease in calling it “the old feeding on the young.” Childish at best. Do we not already donate our blood to help those in need?

  • @zukodude487987 says:

So we should all get our blood diluted?

  • @andrewpawley8883 says:

    That’s truly extraordinary.

  • @JugglinJellyTake01 says:

Also needs to consider decline in nutrient absorption and waste elimination from the blood.
