Think you're making a healthy food choice? You might want to check again.

Discover three surprisingly sugary foods that can harm your health:

1. Protein Bars: Despite being marketed as health foods, many protein bars contain high sugar content—up to 20 grams per bar, equivalent to a regular candy bar. Aim for protein bars with at least 20 grams of protein and less sugar to make a better choice.

2. Chocolate Milk: While milk offers bone-boosting calcium, commercial chocolate milk packs in excessive sugar, making it less healthy. Look for healthier milk options or limit your chocolate milk consumption.

3. Granola: Although oats are the main ingredient, granola often includes added sugars like honey. A single serving can contain a significant amount of sugar. While some sugar is acceptable, it's essential to track your daily intake, aiming for around 10 to 20 grams if you're focused on improving blood sugar levels.

Remember, moderation is key, and being aware of hidden sugars in seemingly healthy foods can help you make informed choices for your well-being.

20g of Sugar from Fruits, milk, honey of other natural Sugar Sources? Or do you mein 20 g of refined sugars

Do you “mean”. Sugar is sugar, whatever the source. Your body doesn’t know the difference from whatever the source. Your body has the same reaction.

@Gustavnot true if that was the case why does simm himself eat potatoes and fruits? Bryan Johnson eats carbohydrates yet he reversed his aging to make his body markers of a 18 year old. Also you do know cooking meats in high temperature is bad for you which can cause aging. Ignorance at its finest.

Granola also contains a ton of pesticides.

I prepare all of my own food, I don’t eat any pre-prepared foods. I don’t use sugar and of course I am low carb. I eat eggs, meat, fish, rarely poultry, I eat around 8-10 cups of vegetables daily, rarely beans and legumes. Occasionally a dairy product such as cheese or cream, or full fat plain yogurt. I don’t eat fruit or use honey. I use butter, avocado oil, and olive oil. I don’t like the flavor of Coconut oil yet I still have some on hand. I also use duck fat. Occasionally I have homemade bread from almond flour.

  • Gustav says:

People who are addicted to sugar literally freak out and have emotional breakdowns, they get angry if you tell them that sugar is bad for them or that they shouldn’t have their favorite sugary food. They’ll stammer, ” but… but…but, honey is good for you or fruit is good for you” Health is only for the intelligent and strong willed.
