Fruit is an enjoyable way to get micronutrients and a touch of sweetness into your diet. However, all fruits contain carbs, so if you are a low-carb or keto dieter, mindlessly grabbing a fruit snack whenever the desire hits will work against your overall goal.

This video shares three ways to enjoy fruit on a low-carb diet without the high-carb consequences.

I recently discovered Spindrift sparkling water. They use real fruit juice but the total carb count is very low, 1-4 total carbs per 12 oz can depending on the flavor you choose. So far, I am able to keep my carbs low drinking it while enjoying the real juice taste with the effervescent soda-like tingle I miss. It hits those notes for me and I am not tempted to overindulge by having fruit in the fridge or freezer.

I consume frozen organic mixed berries in Kiefer after the meal.

Happiest day of my life when I figured out I did not need to eat fruit. Never liked fruit. However, for those that do, good advice. πŸ‘. Cannot imagine eating salad every day any more either. I don’t eat any, but do love salad. Found out when I stopped eating it just how much it did not love me…. πŸ™„

I know just how you feel because I used to eat spinach and kale every day and felt awful but didn’t know why until I figured it out that those leafy veggies didn’t agree with me. So I stopped and never looked back! I still eat salads and other vegetables, I just avoid spinach and kale.

I eat blueberries or raspberries or blackberries at night for the melatonin, but only like 10 or 12, helps me sleep

Strangest ending for one of Dr. Becky’s videos with that censor beep in the final seconds followed by a wink! πŸ€ͺ

  • @luzcrane1951 says:

You are right Dr G. i’ve been on keto since 2020 and feeling awesome. Learning how to cook, reading labels during grocery shop, and meal planing are part of my routine. Once in a while I allow myself to enjoy little pieces of my old favorite fruits with my salad, but I always come back to berries. Hydration and exercising are also very important. Thank you

  • @Anno44 says:

    Perfect. Thanks

  • @elleng7658 says:

I started adding fruit back in my diet, and with small quanities. It helps me stay more on course with lower carbs.
