I think that you are a positive influence & an intelligent, professional woman who is helping us novices. Thank you. ❤

  • @anashairadventure12323 says:

    👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

  • @Linneamarianilsson says:

You could adress the very valid criticism you get.

    • @goodnessvegan6544 says:

Just curious what it is. I see her get a lot of hate but I genuinely don’t understand why

    • @itsalwayshalloweenexceptwh5118 says:

Do you have any examples? Only thing I can think of is the sponsorships and her plugging her own product.

    • @taracassidy says:

      Pushes protein

    • @itsalwayshalloweenexceptwh5118 says:

@@taracassidy And why is that a problem?

    • @dopex89 says:

@@itsalwayshalloweenexceptwh5118 I mean that’s any youtuber really. If they’re big enough. Most will promote stuff like BetterHelp, or Green chef, that look okay on the surface, but are problematic. Same with product (protein or not). The good thing is, you don’t have to consume what she promotes if you don’t want to, and you still get her content for free.

  • @susanpettit8751 says:

I’ve seen a lot about the Glucose Goddess of Instagram and her tips which she notes are science based. I was wondering if you had any thoughts on them and would love to see a video of a dietician’s point of her recommendations. Thanks.

    • @waterballoonfighter says:

As a clinical dietitian I am incredibly sceptical of her. I work in diabetes research, and I think her whole “idea and brand” is flawed, and possibly fuelling disordered eating. That may sound harsh, but that’s just my take from my theoretical and clinical experience with patients with diabetes (and sadly too often disordered eating).

    • @angelasu418 says:

I got gestational diabete. I can assure you that her methods works to lower my blood sugar. She helped me way more than my nutritionist who didn’t even bother to tell me any more about the mechanism behind it.

    • @waterballoonfighter says:

@@angelasu418 Key points from your text: Gestational diabetes and nutritionist. Anything with diabetes should always be handled by a specialised dietitian, and preferably someone with knowledge within that specific type of diabetes. Sorry to hear you didn’t receive the help you needed, and happy to hear you found a solution that works for you.

  • @angelsplace says:

    I 💞 your top!

  • @kryssygee4814 says:

Love it!!! Spot On!!! 🎉 Lol! I mean you!!! 😊

  • @swungburrito9231 says:

Diets for weight loss don’t work much of the time, and when they do “work” it can leave the person of more physical unhealthy and can lead to an eating disorder

  • @sarahhume3220 says:

Well if this isnt the pot calling the kettle black 😂

  • @xxxFrostBitexx says:

Honestly, my eating habits might not be perfect every week, after having been ill for almost 2 weeks now I ordered pizza today, even though I was neither able to prepare healthy meals nor to do sports in the past days. But you inspire me to genuinely enjoy my food. I still struggle, but by now I am able to eat some French fries or cake in the evening when I am craving for it without always thinking about what I ate earlier that respective day. Some while ago I thought I had to prep for occasions I knew they served cake. You can say what you want, but that’s psychologically unhealthy.

  • @chickenfriedwaffles says:

    1. Not taking accountability for your mean girl bullying.

    2. Shaming people for eating what you classify as a restrictive diet while remaining mum when people eat overly indulgent and dangerous diets.

    3. Being a hypocrite and crying victim when people you put on your chopping block try and defend themselves.

  • @themagicknightress7132 says:

Soft cheeses (cottage, cream, ricotta…) are so good with honey and mini chocolate chips. I can’t stop. Help. The cheese is taking over my lifeeee

  • @tanyamckenzie8853 says:

Thank you for number 4. Ignoring this lead to me growing up to be obese and have an eating disorder. The ignorance that prevailed in my childhood ruined my adulthood.

  • @VanillaLatte.3 says:

    PREACH 🙌

  • @Joyelle-vq6jy says:

I love your channel. Watching your channel has helped so much dealing with my weight. I don’t mentally beat myself up for having Popeyes once in a while and I’m not watching the scales I’m watching if my clothes are getting really baggy. I don’t feel like trash cause I’m really craving chocolate during that time of the month. Diets never really truly worked but I’m loosing weight now but it’s not a fast process but it feels so much better cause no food is in a don’t eat list and it feels so freeing. Thank you for being so helpful.

  • @MindYourOwnKitchen says:

As a larger bodied person, Ive felt this is a safe place to get helpful lifestyle advice that isnt just telling me Im undesirable and lack self control

  • @EverydayAves says:

People shouldn’t yell at you for that, all of those are true.

  • @daniellelopez3342 says:

I feel like you glossed over genuine criticisms and focused on very extreme examples that the majority of your critics do not think or say.

  • @whybrch says:

I’m glad I only crash dieted once. All the weight I lost, I gained back and that really did a number on my mental health. Eating well long term is the way to go

  • @Nunya-jw2dn says:

It’s interesting that you failed to actually address any of the things people are ACTUALLY upset at you for. Namely:

    1. Marketing an overpriced and unnecessary supplement as “accessible” and “essential”.

    2. Not publishing the third party testing results for said product.

    3. Using body shots of influencers to get clicks and body shaming them by calling them emaciated.

    4. Playing the victim when said influencers defend themselves.

  • @Diana-qp2rw says:

I agree with you here, as probably most reasonable people so, however, I cringe at the euphemism “larger bodied” for overweight or obese.
A large body could also be someone who’s not overweight and being overweight is simply a description. Just call it what it is, Abbey, I’m sure people wouldn’t believe you deny that being overweight brings healthy risks and that obesity in itself is a medical condition.
