I know this isn’t relevant but where is your halter top from. It’s SO CUTE
I was just thinking like an hour ago that we haven’t had an update in a while lol
It’s about time!!!
Had the same thoughts some days ago. Glad about this update now.
Frozen fruit is the best. My recent snack obsession is a super chocolate protein fruit bowl. I start by thawing a bunch of frozen fruit in the microwave (lately I’ve done a cup of sliced strawberries and a half cup of raspberries for about a minute) and then in a separate bowl I mix 2/3 cup of nonfat Greek yogurt plus one scoop of vegan chocolate protein powder. Then I mix it all together and it’s Super high in protein and fiber and really chocolatey and delicious.
Ooooh that sounds so good, anything chocolate and berry is🔥
My fav is similar. Greek yoghurt, chocolate protein powder and frozen strawberries mixed in.
I am happy she had strong results, but I am curious about the long term prospect. Coming from a place of genuine earnest to understand, not to judge. Is the prospect of Ozempic like that of Keto in a way (not the best analogy, I know), but is this a lifetime pharmacological solution with a strong rebound when the protocol is ceased? I know that certain people do need lifelong medication, and that’s fair, but this seems more like a bandaid on a symptom rather than addressing the root cause. I worry about the paucity of long-term studies surrounding Ozempic and could the treatment be worse than the “disease.” Or is there a path off the drug since she has habituated her metabolism and habits to her new “normal?” I am not very sanguine one Ozempic (or the like) but if it is a short-term jump start, I feel a lot better about it than I am for a long-term/lifetime protocol. Not that people who take Ozempic give a damn what I think, but I say it out of true concern for the well being of people – a rare take on social media, I know.
All the GLP-1 receptor agonists are lifelong drugs because the issue is not “behaviours”- it is improper GLP-1 signalling. People need to build muscle and eat healthily so that they can titrate down for maintenance but it is rare to be able to come off them and remain slim.
Well I’ve seen that once you go off ozempic, your hunger hormones will return to how they were (unless u do actual damage to your body) and if the person hasn’t learned to control their eating habits, they’ll gain the weight back
Similar to insulin and other medications, Ozempic is a long term medication which balances out issues you have with blood sugars, insulin resistance and hormonal changes. In moreways than one, this medication has been a positive life changer in inflammation related diseases, mood, food and more.
Semaglutide has been around a long time. It isn’t a new drug.
@happytobe_here9483 don’t be disingenuous, this use case at a mass scale is new. The longitudinal studies have not been performed for weight control in non-diabetic patients.
Abbey!! Thank you so much for always making videos that are holistic and explore a variety of approaches to healthy living! I started watching your videos when I was a teen with an ED, and now I’m almost 30 and leading an incredibly healthful and vibrant life!! I truly couldn’t have done it without you, and I love to see you inspiring a whole new generation of young women to live healthily in a way that helps them!
This is amazing and why I do what I do. Thanks for letting me be part of your journey❤❤
I am loving my Mounjaro. It controls my diabetes AND kicks hunger to the curb.
Thanks to the quieting of the food noise, I can now follow Abbey’s advice easily. I feel a thousand percent healthier since November. I’m on 7.5 mg now and praying I can stay at this level until the shortage gets better.
Great job Ginger! I have been on Ozempic for about 11 months and I am down 105 pounds! This drug has been major life-changing for me I have totally changed my eating habits how I think of food. I was dealing with the constant food noise in my head and Ozempic has taken that away. I wish you much success with your journey
What dosage have you been on?
The first.
2 weeks I was down 5 pounds. And then the next two weeks I was dtwo and a half. That was on the.
Point 25, I’ve been on the point 543 weeks and the first few days.I could feel the suppression, but my appetite feels almost back to normal. And I don’t know if I am down any this month. I was excited to get on the point five but now i’m excited to get on the one because i’m not really experiencing the intensity that I feel like other people are
I wish I could take it but I csnt afford it. I’m 231 pounds and so depressed
@DogMommy. I’m on a georgia state plan am better. Just diagnosed with diabetes this year.So because of some medical reason to lower my blood sugar they cover just as ozimpic. The eleven hundred dollar medicine is only fifteen dollars. So I would see if you qualify.
For state insurance
@@mayday2312 I am on the 2 mg dose
This has been a great series! Thank you!
i needed to see this thank you so much.
LOVE Ginger! I look forward to her updates so much.
Ginger and Abbey – these honest real life videos continue to be so valuable. I’m now on OZ and having great success — and finding improvements in so many ways. Thank you since your videos helped me say yes when my doc recommended it!
I’m so happy to hear it. Sometimes I wonder if I should be putting my journey out there – I’m not a content creator and am not set up to receive the hate that I get. But it’s been life changing for me. I’m wishing you all the best.
@@GingerBertrand Thank you for being brave enough — you’ve helped change my life.
Hi Abbey,
I am currently a college senior graduating in a few months who has been running cross country and track for four years at the NAIA level. I recently came across your channel and I love the youtubers that you review. My freshmen year of college, have had many past struggles with perfectionism, exercise addiction, overeating, and unfourtaneltly tried yo yo dieting; I was studying and pulling way to many all nighters leading to falling asleep in class due to my jam packed schedule and never giving myself rest. I currently am seeing a counselor because your videos have encouraged me to not be afraid to reach out if you are struggling. and nutritionist and I have noticed extreme changes in my times and energy levels. Keep reviewing popular fitness youtubers because I love hearing about your healthy eating ideas and the research that you put into the reviews. I am doing much better today- Running and training with proper nutrition, sleeping better, and am finishing up my final semester as a college student working with a high school athletic director and will be graduating in May with my degree in education. Thank you!
As someone thinking of going on ozempic for health reasons, I don’t want to focus on the number on the scale at all. I would do it for my health, to get more energy and so I can be here longer for my kids. My mum died at 62 due to complications with her type 2 diabetes. If I’m taking a drug to controll my weight or taking a drug to controll my diabetes, I rather do the first one.
AMEN! I went through a series of meetings with doctors (my physician, weight loss MD and internist MD) to review medical histories – all agreed that given the rampant heart disease and diabetes on both sides of my family, this drug would be preventative. So here I am.
Abbey, thank you for engaging in such important conversations on your platform. Ginger, you are amazing. Thank you so much for sharing your story and embracing your vulnerability. You are both helping so many people❤
I’ve been waiting for this vid. 🎉
Abbey and Ginger yall deserve to get your bags!! but oof $85CAD per bag of protein…. in a paycheque to paycheque world is so out of reach for some of us who want to have more protein in our diets when the cost of fresh produce is already jacked up :/
also congrats Ginger!! you not only look great but sound like you have more energy and zest for life.
Great job Ginter, you are doing amazing!!!!! And congrats on your launch, can’t wait to try it
I’m in Canada. My local pharmacy put up a sign a while ago apologizing to diabetics because they were experiencing a shortage of Ozempic and could only give a limited supply if it was available at all. I hate rich people who misuse this drug 😡😡😡😡😡
I appreciated this series, thank you both for navigating it with compassion! I would be curious, now, to hear your updated opinion/analysis of bariatric surgery, given that you last made a video about it years ago before Ozempic was a “thing”. It’s another medical way of treating the disease of obesity by altering how the body processes food (and how the mind deals with hunger).
So much relatable content here. Thank you Ginger for sharing.
