I had the best results when I took both at the same time. NMN right now, almost out. I’m considering Niacin as an alternative,

    • @captainnoyaux says:

nicotinamide is superior to niacin (lower side effects and better for longevity) edit: don’t forget TMG when you take NAD precursors (B3 or w/e) you need TMG or else you lower your life expectancy

    • @jackbuaer3828 says:

@@captainnoyaux In a human study, Niacinamide caused a 60% raise in homocysteine with just 300MG. Significantly raising a hallmark of aging is not good at all. Niacin appears to have a much lower homocysteine burden. I don’t think TMG is going to offset a 60% increase in homocysteine. Maybe it would offset a 10% increase. I go with low dose Niacin (50 mg) and avoid Nicotinamide.

    • @captainnoyaux says:

@@jackbuaer3828 “just” 300mg, is a gigantic dose, 50 mg is enough with 500mg TMG and research point towards that. Too high doses like the one you mentioned are linked to higher mortality rate so I don’t recommend it either

    • @francoistourigny3006 says:

Taking nmn raise homocysteine by 60% ! should it be possible to see the study please! because this is nonsense!

    • @RG-yz8ov says:

@@jackbuaer3828 it’s hard isn’t it, I’m homozygous for mthfr so this would affect me even more in terms of elevated homocysteine. It’s probably important to just routinely do diagnostic tests and personalise for you. This one size fits all business just doesn’t work

    • @user-mx6ij4ye9n says:

Thymoquinone in Nigella sativa black seed oil shifts NADH back to NAD+.

Stop listening to Sinclair. He’s a snake oils salesman. And get in nature as much as possible and keep your circadian rhythm aligned. Make sure You’re getting Niacin through diet or supplement for bonus points.

Lol pretty sure this comment got deleted before, so you know that im right and the powers that b dont want u to c it. So I posted it again for good measure.

Please tell us why we can take an NAD supplement bcos they are available

Caloric restriction still beats any supplement, doesn’t it?

    • @mariorossi2782 says:

Would be cool in siim will give an answer

    • @LeGsLoVeR1000 says:

@@mariorossi2782 There is several videos from siim. Dig down his older videos and you can find the answer

    • @Mestre_tainha says:

From my research calorie restriction is only positive when subjects are on a bad diet.

    • @carlov5740 says:

@@Mestre_tainha dig more into research. Caloric restriction (with optimal nutrition) is the only proven (at least in various animals) approach to extend lifespan. Prove me wrong!

  • @IntrepidDivergence says:

Pretty sure there is a possible link between NMN/NR and Cancer. Would be wise to avoid it out of caution

  • @david-jr5fn says:

It is a seriously over hyped supplement, it’s benefits in humans are unremarkable. David will keep pushing it just like he still pushes resveratrol even though its a total failure. Something like Taurine beats NMN and NR hands down.

  • @DCGreenZone says:

    Get tested before boosting.

  • @KenzXYZ says:

Was getting unpleasant lasting feelings in the gut area after taking NMN. Took several days for these nausea-like feelings to disappear after stopping supplementing

    niacin?
