      Thanks, I appreciate the timestamps!

Drat, I was really hoping I knew you were gonna do a q&a. I recently had my ileostomy reversal surgery and it went great(you’d like my surgeon, great guy).

My question is a two parter
      1) I’m advised not to do any heavy lifting or strenuous exercise but I am a pretty active vegan runner, I was wondering if there were any light or safe exercises I can do for the next 6-8 weeks?
      2) I had my ileostomy bag for a little over a year so my body is still kind of adjusting to going to the bathroom without one, I am familiar with fodmap and things like that and I’ve had colonoscopies and whatever else, my question is again related to my recovery, but are there any foods you would recommend or try to avoid while I recover and get used to life without the bag? I already know to take it slow and go easy on fiber but I’d like to know what foods you would avoid/encourage. I am vegan and I adopt a plant based diet so animal products are obviously off the table(literally lol)

Anyways, thanks for everything, Doctor. You’ve done a lot of good for many people around the world, myself included(Washington state) and I bought my mom two of your books, you’re awesome. Take care ✌💚

  • @Joseph1NJ says:

I did an n=1 experiment with avacado, ate it every day and it did not negatively affect my cholesterol.

    • @martinabattistich387 says:

Maybe it depends how high it was your cholesterol. Dr G. Said it lowers small ldl cholesterol if I remember correctly

    • @howardlefsky4756 says:

      Why would it?

    • @Joseph1NJ says:

@@howardlefsky4756 It’s a lot of fat. And yes, I know what type.

    • @howardlefsky4756 says:

Unsaturated fat does not raise and can even lower LDL. Beginning, middle, and end of story.

    • @Joseph1NJ says:

@@howardlefsky4756 Unsaturated fats do not lower cholesterol. It’s only when saturated fats are replaced with unsaturated fats cholesterol falls.

  • @weirdunclebob says:

As you don’t show graphs or anything else that people may want to look at, I have potential solutions for the seasick people so you can still walk on your treadmill while answering these questions:
    1. Don’t watch it! Just listen to it.
    2. If you need to read the questions, scroll up until only the questions are showing.

Can’t be keeping the good doctor from his exercise! 😁
