Isnβt that process food super high in sodium?
I always appreciate the Cronometer scroll. So many people focus solely on the macros and forget the micros! Love these videos. πͺππ±
Awesome! thanks for watching π
Yum!! I’ll look for the kalettes next time I go shopping
they are so good! enjoy!
Oh my gosh, I’m so loving the soy free tofu!! I have a horrible soy allergy, so being vegan has been difficult. I’m hoping to get back to 100% vegan by the end of the year. π€
Love your channel!!! πβ€οΈ
It’s so good!
I average around 65 grams a day, female, 5’2, 135 pounds, lean weight goal 125 pounds, 46.5 years old, workout daily for about 1hr ( multiple training varies by day) , and I get 5000 to 10,000 steps a daily.
The way you can always come up with a meal that looks super tasty but also something new and different is like ASMR for my eyes. These look so good. I can’t wait to get my hands on that new e-book!
Thank you so much Laura! π
That fava bean tofu changed my life! Recently found it at the store and as someone wirh a soy intolerance it has made being vegan soooo much easier.
It’s so good! I love it!
Pumfu is good too and made from pumpkin seeds
I love your content! I have been vegan for around 5 years, and recently found out I am intolerant to soy so some of your older videos focussing on high protein, soy free recipes have been awesome βοΈ
Oh those years before noticing your intolerance were probably hard. Are you doing better now?
@edgbarraΒ yeah all good thanks for asking! Months of nutritional trial and error to confirm and a simple switch away from soy and good to go πͺ
Can you use Bragg’s Amino Acids? Soy sauce taste and less sodium than even light soy.
Pumfu is great if you can find that near you
@@stephenmartin6733 never heard of it but I’ll check it out! Appreciate it π
This weather kills me too! I suffer from really crippling seasonal depression. Upping my vitamin D in the winter months has helped, and I do my best to stay active instead of just sitting in a hot bath or hiding under a blanket. I workout (lift and/or higher intensity cardio) in the morning and every evening I hop on my spin bike or treadmill for a good 30-50 minutes.
Awesome, I’m so glad you are finding ways that help. Moving my body helps me so much too.
How much vitamin D do you take in the winter ? I think Iβd benefit from upping mine too but I donβt want to take too much
@@TrulyTara86I double up I normally take 1000IUs vegan D3, so I take 2000IUs in the winter (plus the calcium I take has a bit too).
@ thank you !π
“Eating only plants” β I don’t eat animal products, but I do eat fungi in addition to plants. Fungi β mushrooms and the mycelium in tempeh β are tasty, and Derek Sarno has shown how a grilled large mushroom (using his technique with two cast-iron skillets) can be very like a steak. The important thing is that fungi are the primary source of the protein ergothioneine, which is extremely beneficial.
Yes the two Derekβs have everything covered!!
Great video! I am trying to get more protein and I donβt usually get more than 80 grams and thatβs about as high as I can go without going over my calories. Everything looked so tasty much appreciated β€
Awesome I hope you can get some easy ideas from this video!
Iβm absolutely dying for a morning smoothie bowl ! Iβm in Europe right now and havenβt had a smoothie
bowl in almost two weeks. I canβt wait to get back home and fire up the vitamix , and those two dishes you made looked awesome!π
I will never get bored of your smoothies.
Haha great! Me neither. π
I just made the dipping sauce for hubby’s teriyaki seitan vegan egg roll wraps. He loves it!! So do the kids! Thanks!
Awesome! Enjoy π
Love your videos as always! Is there a chance you can do a video on gaining weight as someone with a high metabolism? My dad (vegan) and boyfriend (mixed eater), both struggle with this. They are both lean and work construction/outdoor/active jobs. Finding a meal prep book thatβs simple, affordable, but high in protein, carbs all that good stuff is difficultβ¦
Thanks for all you do!π
I’ve been vegan for eons but am freshly obsessed with cramming in protein to see if it’ll fix a couple of issues. I’m very small but shoving down about 110-112 grams a day on average now and THAT’S hard. I’m not a volume eater so I do have to use a lot of protein supplements.
Great looking meals! I just bought that Primavera Veg Mix because of your recommendation. Canβt wait to try your recipe with it. Thanks, Derek (for all your advice) and Crystal (for all the filming).β€β€
Ohh I think youβre going to love it! Thank you! π
Timing is everything I was just looking at that soy tofu and I didnβt know that it was so high in βBroteinβ Thanks π
I eat pumpkin seeds and nutritional yeast now almost daily as part of my protein because it’s so delicious, healthy and I learned from you in your other video that it’s actually a good source of protein!
I love that you stick to the basics most of the time. Because that is realistic for most people working a βnormalβ job.
You diet is no sprint nor a marathon. It is a walk until you die (literally).
