The flaxseed bread (linseed bread) is dense, soft, and moist. It’s free or any grains and pseudo-grains. In fact, the only ingredient in this flaxseed bread are ground flaxseeds (linseed). So, it’s a great low-carb alternative to your regular bread.

The flaxseed wraps (flaxseed tortillas) are tender and soft from the flaxseeds, crunchy from the vegetables, and so easy to make. They are great as a savory breakfast, or just as a quick, portable lunch. They are also vegan, paleo, and keto friendly.

This low-carb bread and low-carb wraps will revolutionize your meal prep. That’s something I don’t say lightly. After making my first batch a few years ago, I was hooked.

If you're looking for a low-carb bread/keto bread substitute that is vegan friendly, this recipe might become your new favorite.

I always appreciate the commentary from the taste-tester in the end. 👍 Thanks for the recipes! 🥖 🍞🙏😊

  • Breanne Long says:

Love how thorough he is at describing and rating the food!!

  • LSC 563 says:

We just made the flaxseed bread. We followed the recipe exactly as you made it. It turned out looking the same, but we didn’t like this as a bread. It is definitely more ‘cake like’ and it was ok with some butter on it, but we thought it was more sweet than savoury.
#edit – the bread tasted much better when toasted… 😀

I love YOU both!!!!! Im so happy that I found you. Love your website – perfect, very informative, love the details included under each video.. Comments are honest .I shared your website with my friends. I’m starting to change my life (doctors order) to become vegan and I was terrified but with you I can do it and enjoy my new journey. Thank you!!!!!

I love all your videos. Great recipes 👌 accurate and no mistakes 👌

Tried the bread recipe, and found that after following the directions word for word, the outside crust of the bread was dry which was perfect, but the inside was almost raw/wet after cooking for the 60 mins suggested, then I put it back in the oven for a whole extra 30 mins and I suppose it wasn’t raw anymore, but still very moist. I have a feeling I need to use finely ground flax instead of flax seed meal and not grinding it further. Also I used a glass loaf pan which also could’ve been a factor.

Love love love the flackers! Such a great way to incorporate flaxseed meal into my daily diet. Baked it for the first time today. Not quite perfect but it will be, I’m sure, with a few more practices. A few learning points to share: (1) weigh the ingredients, including water than go by the cup, for accuracy. (2) add more flaxseed meal if the dough is not coming together or still sticky. Different brands of flaxseed meal have different degree of absorbency. Use your own judgement. I added another 10g of flaxseed meal to the recommended measurment (3) roll it out as thin and as evenly as possible for a faster bake, and crispier texture. (4) bake for a longer time if yours are still soft after the recommended baking time. Again, use your own judgement. I baked mine for another 10mins (5) go big on the seasoning if you want to reduce or cover the taste of flaxseed. I added a tsp each of salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika and chives and none of the flavours turned up. 😅 Thankfully I love the flaxseed taste, so it’s alright. A really versatile recipe, thanks for your sharing!

I have tried both the flax wrap and bread a few times. For me, they are the best quick and simple gluten free alternatives I’ve found. I customize the flavors from sweet to savory. Thank you for the imperial measurements, it saves me time with the scale. I really enjoyed your taste tester explain. I have really enjoyed these recipes.

  • Lydia Joy Stuart says:

I made this recipe. I ended up adding a bit more ground flax to help in come together. It was quite cake-y but toasting helped that. But I added 2 tsp caraway seeds and that added a nice flavour.

  • Putnut's Kitchen says:

For gluten free bread that actually looks like bread. Most look like unsweetened cake. I have a few great low carb bread recipes here on my channel, including rye and hot dog buns but I use wheat gluten and yeast in mine. I will have to try this one. Thanks.

  • Gaby Fridman says:

I love watching your videos! I like how you get right to the recipes without a bunch of stories etc. I have used your flax tortilla recipe and I was excited to see the bread recipe. I am going to try it! Your husband is so funny. I laugh every time I see him try the food. He reminds me of my husband. Thank you for sharing!

Could you toast the seeds before milling for added flavor? 😃 Great video btw! 😊
