This is the best encapsulation of everything that is confusing about diets! Like ugh I don’t care anymore!!

  • @andianderson3017 says:

The amount of dressing on that salad is unhinged from just a taste standpoint😆

The people who live longest eat everything in moderation!

  • @courtneyjackson4843 says:

Oh god this is me! I doubt everything I eat, and because I have a chronic illness I feel extra pressure. So thanks for this video!

  • @sarahwilkins8921 says:

I read something today that said you shouldn’t eat kale or spinach, and I was just thinking, “I give up.” Apparently, EVERYTHING is killing us. I like spinach in my salads better than lettuce. I’m going to keep eating it!

    • @perfect135 says:

      Everything in moderation

    • @Rose-jz6sx says:

No kale or spinach?? On what grounds???

    • @ely42609 says:

True for some people.I can’t have some greens, brocoli, avocado, and many other things as they cause eczema flare-ups.To be honest, I never had eczema in my life before the age of 43.I believe that keto diet high in these foods that have oxalates and salicylates might be the cause of my eczema.Every time I eat them, I get the itchy bumps. Now I am even reacting to red wine, kombucha and many fermented foods.

    • @ilaeoa says:

@@Rose-jz6sx tons of oxalates. I’m looking in awe to the modern people just munching on leafy greens 4 times a day like there is a wholesale of spare kidneys and joints somewhere near

    • @rebeccabarlow4383 says:

@@ilaeoa demonising greens ignores the whole picture and risks people avoiding a food group with a lot of benefits. Lots of food contain oxalates and most of it can be reduced through soaking, sprouting, fermenting, cooking etc… Processing foods can be really beneficial like above, or negative like adding lots of preservatives, salt, smoking etc… but most people don’t see the nuance and lob them all together and then eat a bunch of ‘unprocesses’ veg in an attempt to be healthy. Raw salad a few times a week can be great, but not 4x a day as you say. Most people don’t have to worry too much about oxalates, and those that do such as kidney stone patients are likely to have repeat issues even on low oxalate diets. Calcium, magnesium, salt and water intake along with genetic background risk all play a role in stones/ crystals so it really isn’t as simple as ‘oxalates are bad’. A rounded varied diet, and better food processing is all most people need to do when it comes to oxalates.

Brilliant! The circle of influencers that are misinformed, and fear mongering! Intuitively eat, and enjoy your meal… OH and that strong body that has carried you through til this point. It’s beautiful, no matter what it looks like! ❤
