Hi Abbey! I’ve been watching your videos for a while and I like the approach you take, but I want to tell you something out of respect and emphasizing that in many aspects your videos help a lot. I find it funny that you upload videos of thin girls, criticizing what they eat in a day and saying that they eat much less than they should (which I don’t deny). However, I don’t see you criticizing how American society encourages obesity, which is currently a pandemic and a major health problem. I think it’s great that you make a video commenting on this girl’s eating habits and suggesting modifications, but at no time do I see you criticizing obesogenic behaviors, as you do with those that, according to your criteria, are promoting an eating disorder. Have a good day!
I agree. I think it’s important to be compassionate when analysing any WIEIAD video because wider context is needed and people should not be judged solely on a single day of eating. However it should be highlighted that over eating is just as dangerous as under eating, especially on high calorie, low nutrient dense food which can lead to long term health complications (as well as obesity). I think it’s become so hard to pass comment (especially for the likes of abbey who reviews WIEIADs) on these types of videos from larger bodied creators because people are afraid to be labelled as fat phobic. These eating behaviours would be equally as unhealthy in someone with a socially acceptable, smaller body but nutrition creator’s wouldn’t be as afraid to review and flag how unhealthy their diet is because they won’t be at risk of being labelled as fat phobic.
The video shows a person eating three meals and a snack. Where did she over eat?? lol
She’s not American, why would she criticise the USA’s habits specifically?
Some of y’all aren’t happy unless you see fat people st@rving themselves and eating sad, joyless salads all day, the woman in the what I eat in a day video doesn’t owe you wl
Don’t enough people take great joy in stomping all over fat people for simply eating like anyone else, you think Abbey has to join in? If a thin person ate these exact same meals no one would say word one, but heaven forbid a fat person eat anything at all that isn’t dry salad and water. I appreciate Abbey not joining in the chorus shitting on fat people, she’s one of the few people critiquing WIEIAD videos who treats fat people like they’re human.
Have you ever had the idea of prompting legislation on requiring better food education in school? It would be cool to see your platform to help make changes to the way schools fail teaching kids eating intuitively. 🔥
❤Abbey U R the Best‼️ Would love your take on Nicole Collet✨ she and her husband each lost 130 pounds and their YouTube channel is so informative! They are all about portion control and show people exactly how to achieve these goals. Every time I’m watching a video I want to know that you are watching the fellow Canadian as well.‼️💥
The nose ring was distracting
Is interesting that people who follow you still have not figured out that all you are trying to do is teach people how to add nutrition to their meals, not push weight loss.
