Thank you Dr. Gregor for everything that you do. We really appreciate it.

  • @AlexRose6565 says:

    Awesome video! Eat your veggies!

  • @curtishenschen7311 says:

Thank you for the thoughtful advice.

  • @janerkenbrack3373 says:

Living in Michigan I am confronted with the seasonal reduction in fresh fruit. But when I commit to increasing my fresh fruit consumption, I do find myself emotionally stronger. And I also find myself more eager to exercise as well, which also leads to greater feelings of enjoyment and happiness. I do think it is the fruit.

    • @rosesblunts says:

you can rely on frozen or dried/freeze dried fruit and veggies when seasonal ones aren’t abundant at times so your body doesn’t miss out ❤

    • @janerkenbrack3373 says:

@@rosesblunts Yes, I do include them. But there’s something so good about fresh veggies and fruits that make a difference.

  • @Alexander-ok7fm says:

    Thank you!

  • @faygrim5085 says:

Getting ten servings of fruits and vegetables each day sounded harder than I’ve found it to be! Now I aspire to expand their diversity. ❤ Dr. G❗️

    I love this channel!

  • @archangelarielle262 says:

Unfortunately, for my TRD, it has done nothing, neither has any clinical treatment, psychedelic, dissociative etc.

    • @alekseyvalentinov9361 says:

Well there’s your problem, your mentality is allowing you to try strong drugs to fix the problem. Drugs cannot fix the underlying problem, it’s like taking blood pressure medication. It doesn’t get rid of the plaques in your arteries, it just masks the problem. You need to build a new foundation rooted in truth. For me, coming to understand the Bible and who God really is (not what people claim He is) has brought me to true fulfillment and joy. Let me know if you have any questions!

    • @rosesblunts says:

I’m sorry to hear that! but I presume you still find it more manageable when you body up fueled in a more suited, nutritious way or do you see no change?

    • @archangelarielle262 says:

      @@rosesblunts No change.

Pickles really helped me while trying to get out of depression. That’s the only food I could find any real scientific evidence for boosting mood. The brine is the most helpful part, but the pickles too.

Idk about any other foods. I definitely couldn’t find good evidence when I was looking for it. Could’ve changed, I can’t say. Dr Greger probably knows, though.

Go vegan for your health, whole food plant based.
Go vegan for the animals. Go vegan for the planet. Go vegan and be healthier and happier.
A lower risk of heart disease and cancer for you and a better planet for everyone, human and animals.
Eating healthy is not a diet it is a healthy life style.
Go out and look around. The vast majority of people you see are obese or al least over weight.
People do not need to be fat shamed BUT being over weight is not healthy and leads to a host of illnesses.
When you look around you can see all the unhealthy people without taking a blood test or a fitness test
“NORMAL” for the average American is “UNHEALTHY” The health of society is in decline.

    • @JasonJrake says:

I like this quote that sums it up well:

People become vegan for one of three reasons: health, ethics, or environmentalism. But if they stay vegan it’s for all three.

My wife and I did it for health, but once we crossed that line our hearts and minds were opened to the other two.

    • @evelynege1 says:

@@JasonJrakeI’m vegan for the animals for more than 12 years now and I enjoy the great health benefits of a whole food plant based diet of course.
I use the health side in activism and several persons did go vegan for their health after our street actions where we met them. None of them that I know of turned their back to veganism since.
It’s beautiful to open our hearts to other species and consider them as sentient beings who deserve freedom of exploitation as much as humans. Thank you for being vegan too 😊

  • @KJSvitko says:

It is just crazy that Doctors do not get nutrition training in Medical schools.
Every doctor visit should include some nutrition discussion. The majority of the population is over weight or obese leading to high blood pressure, heart disease and cancer. Schools and hospital cafeterias should be leading the way to good health by setting the example of what is a healthy meal and teaching people what to eat and why.. Every person in the hospital for heart disease should have a nutrition class before being checked out from the hospital with follow up education and training in nutrition. Medicare and Medicaid should require patient nutrition education as part of their standard of care. Nutrition information should be run on the hospital TV channel. Prevention needs to be emphasized to every patient. After the fact pills and surgery don’t deal with the ROOT CAUSE.

  • @maggie6479 says:

I can attest to this. When I eat a poor diet, my depression soars. Just a few days of eating better and I can tell my mood is lifted considerably.

  • @heikechilds2816 says:

Makes me wonder if there are vegans who suffer from depression or anxiety disorder.?

    • @rosesblunts says:

      @heikechilds2816
hi, of course there are. 1stly you can be vegan and not eat enough fruit and veggies in general but also it’s expected to feel saddened to various levels when you are aware of the suffering of animals, state of environment and know you’re in a minority and change may take long because most people aren’t informed enough to change or at least recognise the value of change.
this doesn’t mean trying your best to help yourself by feeding your body good food is useless ofc
