The girl in the photo is wonyoung from a K-pop group named Ive. She is idolized by many people including elementary school girls. She is famous for having a “slim and perfect body”. So unfortunately people are drawn by that sad face 😅

  • @skoopman2675 says:

Why make such a fuzz about it? What’s wrong with eating some days ones in awhile 600 kcal, especially since most people nowadays tend to overeat and are overweight?

    • @Hyperlophus says:

Because these algorithm promoted videos are causing people (like kids) to have dangerous eating habits and ideas. Videos, like the one Abby’s showing, are being used as instructions for restrictive eating habits which can lead to deadly health consequences.

    • @joegomez5463 says:

Once in a while, it isn’t a problem. Daily is. 600 gives you very, VERY little room for nutritional intake at adequate levels. Not just macros, but micros as well.

    • @catiephillips5239 says:

Because your organs need 1200 calories minimum to work properly. For example, the brain needs about 400 and the heart needs 200-300. That’s not even including everything else. A calorie count of 600 is incredibly dangerous. At that point, your body will break down muscle for energy which is problematic because the heart and stomach are made of muscle and can be seriously damaged by this level of malnourishment over time. Even short-term, it can really mess with your body. That’s why balance is healthier than restriction.

    • @abbmac1 says:

I’d like to see this same energy for WIEAD of people eating in a caloric surplus. It’s just as dangerous for kids to see and just as much self harm. Overeating is a much larger problem than undereating but the “concern” only goes one way.

    • @harshini-i1g says:

@@abbmac1 I think the context matters, I feel like some days you may overeat- but you usually compensate. If you mean chronically- I get it, obesity is an pressing problem- but so is malnutrition in lower class families.

  • @madimom134 says:

Remember the HCG diet that was huge like 15 years ago? They ate 600 calories a day, but they had to have hormone shots and be monitored veeerrry closely by doctors

  • @Leo-mr1qz says:

You need at least 1100 calories as a woman for your body to just properly function for the day. 😮

    • @harshini-i1g says:

      Way more

    • @WolfeWrangle says:

@harshini-i1g yeah, you’d need a few hundred more assuming you’re not optimizing and supplementing

    • @harshini-i1g says:

@@WolfeWrangle Exactly! That wouldn’t even be enough for day to day function

    • @WolfeWrangle says:

@harshini-i1g I’ve done my fair share of trying out unsustainable eating habits, purely because my body is unique to me and I am exploring. One day At 1100 is tolerable. Even two days. But at a certain point, it just cannot be upheld. The amount of supplements needed is rather expensive too. It just isn’t great. I’m all for different approaches, but one of the worst times of my life was my body not allowing me to eat above 900 calories. Hoo boy that sucked.

    • @harshini-i1g says:

@@WolfeWrangle I get it- It’s definitely doable- I’ve done it for a while too, but the long term implications are awful honestly. It definitely crossed ED territory.

Wonyoung?! Oh god! She’s an idol and is forced to follow such strict diets, no one should willingly follow that! (Also that video is not Wonyoung’s btw)
