Hormesis from Low-Dose Radiation

Our bodies are exposed to about 20,000 hits of radiation from cosmic rays every second. Is that good or bad?

Salutary ways like what?! I have an entire section on hormesis in my longevity book. Go to your local public library and check out How Not to Age ( ), available in print, e-book, and audio. (All proceeds I receive from the book are donated directly to charity.)

I also have more than 200 videos on longevity. Check out the topic page ( ).

Dr greger, do you recommend sunbathing for 30 minutes once or twice a week? I do like sitting by the pool. My grandfather used to always be gardening outdoors without a shirt and seemed to be ok.

With a low UV index and done only 2ntimes peer week, risk is also low. Does it outweigh benefits? That’s a personal question I guess

Duh, the comic community has known this for decades… he Hulk burnt by gamma rays

Trippy, I wondered if there was some sort of survival of the fittest kind of thing going on with Japan living longer and having more centenarians due to the atomic bombing of Hiroshima.

I get my low dose radiation by eating bananas. 😀
