She also forgot to use the 39$ shaker lol

    • @user-fc4xg5ym1t says:

@@whiskeysfoxtrot824Which competitors are you referring to? Most protein powders I’ve seen are at most $40. Never seen anything even close to $65

    • @anxiousartemis says:

maybe cause the video isn’t about prices? also the powder can easily be substituted with a cheaper one

    • @whiskeysfoxtrot824 says:

@@user-fc4xg5ym1t her direct competitor would prob be flavcity who charges 60 for his, but there are a few other influencer brands that are 70-80 dollars. Health food stores regularly price them at 70-80 for “organic or higher grade ingredients”. I’m sure the defense here is hers taste better and has probiotics which others don’t, and is higher quality ingredients. But ultimately I don’t see anything shocking in this marketing or price point. Buy the 40 dollar one, totally your choice. But I don’t understand knocking a creator for promoting her own brand (it’s just smart marketing) or the price point because it’s actually a mid priced product in the market.

  • @user-nr5he3ic9o says:

Why didn’t you use the $39 shaker?

  • @user-nr5he3ic9o says:

  • @TransponderSnail says:

This is such a yikes, and only because you spend so much time dismantling gimmicks like substitutes/powders etc. I love your content because it gives me, someone who struggles greatly with food, some confidence. This shatters it.

    • @itsnemosoul8398 says:

      Not all powders are gimmicks.
I’m vegetarian so protein powders actually help if I didn’t eat enough protein during the day (especially for people who exercise a lot).
I wouldn’t spend extra on an influencer brand but it’s a way to support someone.
Now if she sold some magical greens powder that would be disappointing

    • @jessicagoblick8013 says:

Protein powder and supplements have a place. Most people get enough from their diet, and food is the preferable way, but I exercise a ton and don’t particularly like eating meat. I need a way to get some extra protein in, and a shake in addition to my 4 meals a day works for me. It may work for her too, or may be a bit of product placement, or a little of both, but you don’t have to eat exactly what she does in a day. Eat what your body needs, not what someone else’s does.

    • @meea1369 says:

I totally understand that! But, protein shakes aren’t always bad. It’s usually harmful if that’s all you’re consuming from a day to day basis. It’s pretty nice for a quick breakfast if you don’t have time to make anything like she said she didn’t! I hope this wasn’t offensive in anyway or anything but informational

    • @user-nr5he3ic9o says:

It did for me too. Looking at her comments section it seems like she’s losing the trust of 90% of her audience.

    • @atomic_tubetop says:

@@itsnemosoul8398You should check out unnatural vegan’s video on Abbey’s products. She does a deep dive on the science Abbey quotes (not so scientific spoiler alert) plus finds replacement products (that have been tested and vetted) for all the different supplements in Abbey’s product and even buying them all separately its still $20+ cheaper than this. And that’s with everything, most of the stuff in there doesn’t have solid evidence to be there or isn’t at the level indicated by the studies that do support its use. Very good video.
