Thanks for this video. Would castor oil be a topic of interest for nutrition facts? There’s some momentum about it on social media, but I fail to see why
Thank you!
It is so dumb. It makes no sense.
Dr. Greger, can you cover the infrared light on health, photobiomodulation.
Saw someone doing that outside ten years ago. Blew my mind because I had no idea something so dumb even existed.
It’s not the weirdest thing people believe. You would be shocked by how many people in the health community believe drinking your own urine is healthy…
I read this as “any benefits to eating candy?” 😆 maybe next time 🍬
there is, if you are out of food 😉
I had blown ear drums as a child and risk of being deaf. We did this treatment for a week or 2 and my eardrums healed and was able to hear perfectly while this is just a anecdote and they may have healed naturally anyways i find it interesting.
Thanks for the video.
I recently used a 1:1 solution of warm water and hydrogen peroxide to remove a large wax plug from each of my ears. You drop the solution into one ear and lie on your side for a while (I waited until the satisfying crackle stopped) and then you let it drain. Once that is done, use a rubber dropper to gently squirt some warm water or more of the solution into your ear in order to dislodge the wax.
I had never had my ears cleaned before and this was incredibly satisfying to finally get done, though it didn’t seem to affect my tinnitus like I hoped it might. It is a little gross, so maybe do it when you’re alone!
This could be incredibly dangerous, depending on the strength of that hydrogen peroxide solution. I recommend the slower, but equally successful route of drops of oil. I Use vegetable oil. The natural cleaning mechanisms of the ear do the rest.
@k.h.6991 it’s normal 3% hydrogen peroxide you can buy at any drugstore, diluted 1:1 with water. This method is suggested on various websites, I didn’t come up with it myself.
@@k.h.6991 It’s just normal 3% hydrogen peroxide mixed with water. I didn’t come up with this process, it’s available online on more than one website. Whether you trust that process is up to you but it seems relatively harmless.
Sure, melting a candle into your ear will give evidence of melted wax in your ear. What a surprise (not.) Still my local health food store sells ear candles to gullible rubes. Mostly the same ones that buy all the homeopathic bottle of water.
I know a nurse, yes an actual nurse, who candled her developmentally disabled sister in law’s ears. I was so disappointed in her. Of course it did no good whatsoever.
why the suspense? I want to know now. 😜😭🤣
Thank you DR GREGER and team! I suffered from hearing loss in one ear and in desperation tried the homeopathic store’s solution, the ear candles. When you use them they make a noise while burning and it feels weird enough that who knows it might be doing something. I had a feeling it was total BS, so thank you for finally confirming this for me with the cited legwork. Bookmarked! (ear drums are fine now but tinnitus from concerts without earplugs will haunt me for the rest of my days)
Next up: “Can tarot cards predict your future?”
Yikes. Thank you for sharing <3
My speculation is that eating broccoli is somehow good for ear wax 😅
What a joke. Ear candling. Thanks for your video!
I never understood why this should work.
ok, so thats a NO to “Ear Candling”……
I love this channel!
