Carnivore diet makes me feel so good! I’m 55 and have been on many diets! So far low carb and carnivore are the best for me!!

  • Catrena Colbert says:

Can u try this for a week or two and let us know the results😊 I love your videos

  • stars_for_ night_lights1111 says:

Meat (grass-fed, grass-finished if you can afford it as this will give you the most complete nutritional profile)

Seafood (if salmon, eat wild caught)

Eggs cooked any way you like (cage free if you can afford it)

Dairy (no limitations, unless you are sensitive to it)

    Mayo
    Mustard
    Seasonings without sugar
    Butter
    Ghee
    Beef Tallow
    Lard
    Duck Fat

    Bone Broth

    Pork Rinds

Redman’s Real Salt (has numerous minerals vs. Iodized salt)

  • Milli Mill says:

Yes my cravings did go away when I did keto. I’m really thinking about doing it again. I’m on ozempic it’s helped a little but now I’m having bad stomach issues, so I’m getting off of it. I enjoy your videos. Thanks for posting!

    • Catrena Colbert says:

How much did u lose on the Ozempic ?

    • Cyd Kriletich says:

So glad you’re getting off of that drug now! I have been told I will never be able to use drugs like these new drugs designed for diabetes because I have a history of pancreatitis and other gut health issues. These drugs can be extremely dangerous for some people where gut health is concerned.

  • Jo-Ann says:

Skipping breakfast seems to curb cravings during the day. Not sure why but it works for me. If I eat breakfast I seem to want to eat more during the day.

    • FreedomDeep says:

Yes, me too! That is why it’s easier to abstain from eating until 4pm than to calorie restrict. Cravings hit after my first meal.

    • frin frobis says:

I was the same until I did fasting.. when I fast I am not hungry

    • Trina Harrison says:

I find that the earlier I eat, the more I want to keep eating all day. When I have my first meal around/after 11:00 a.m., I’m satisfied and I can go for hours without even thinking about food. It’s the strangest thing!πŸ€£πŸ˜†πŸ€£πŸ˜†

    • Jo-Ann says:

@Trina Harrison I eat my first meal around noon- 1:00 and same feeling. Less hungry during the day compared to if I eat in the morning. Makes no sense but glad I figured it out lol

    • Trina Harrison says:

      @Jo-Ann YES, I totally agree.β˜ΊοΈπŸ‘

  • KathysScraps says:

I love meats proteins, but never thought about just eating meats, eggs etc. I also love my veggies. Haven’t been eating any processed foods for many years now. I’ll have to try 1 day of just the meat, egg, protein day. Maybe it will kick me into my goal finally! Thanks, Myra!

  • Jo-Ann says:

Myra I also want to thank you for making the number on the scale so realistic. I’ve spent years aiming for an unrealistic number and you have helped me change my mindset! Thank you!

  • Super Saiyan Bino says:

For me, after about a week being on Keto my carb cravings go away, and I’m even able to IF when I’m in ketosis, sometimes I hafta remind myself to eat, but that first week is SO HARD!!!

  • ShawnV says:

I found a nice balance for myself by doing carnivore approx. 3 days a week — roughly every other day. I do keto the other days and it almost feels like I’m cheating because of the endless food choices. On my carnivore days, I eat just like you shared, but maybe a little more food — butter on the steak, bacon with breakfast, etc.. I make sure to get in enough fat because it has such a profound affect on my mood. This lifestyle seems to keep me in a good place with my health, hormones, energy, mood and weight!

  • Ur_Dads_Boyfriend says:

i just hit 30 weeks on my keto journey. i have lost 100 lbs in 30 weeks. your videos have helped me sooo sooo much not only with having excellent recipes to make to keep the lifestyle new and fresh but you have helped me mentally to have the right mindset to not think of it as just a “diet” but a lifestyle change

  • Nora Zelaya says:

I was pre diabetic and started with keto and IF two meals for two years ago. After a while, I learned about the carnivore diet. For a long time, I avoided eating too much meat because of the medical recommendations. Fast forward to today, at 68 years old, my perspective has changed dramatically. Like you, I do not think I can live without my favorite veggies, but I do two days a week of pure carnivore only sin is coffee and/or tea once or twice. Since I can lose weight too fast on keto only, on my carnivore days I eat three times a day. This approach is helping me to maintain a healthy weight while keeping my metabolism in check. Thanks for the recipes, I have adopted a few in my meal plan for variety.

  • bowfal says:

Thank you for sharing your knowledge. The only downside to this is the economy 😒. Meat is so expensive now. I grew up on a farm/ranch. And during the lean years, sometimes the only options for meals were beef/chicken/pork and root vegetables. Honestly, as a family, we were way more healthy. Thank you again for your objective viewpoint. β€πŸŽ‰β€πŸŽ‰β€

    • Brian says:

Meat has always been expensive. When you cut out the junk foods then it is affordable. For example, I know people who will not pay $5 for 1 lb of grass fed hamburger at Sam’s club, where they could make 4 quarter pound hamburgers for $1.25 hamburgers each. YET they will say that hamburger is too expensive and turn around and buy a bag of Doritos and eat that. With a soda.
      Duh!!!

  • Roni P says:

Your meals look great! πŸ˜‰A few bun options (if you’re really craving a “sandwich”) is chaffles or paffles. (Chaffles = cheese & egg, Paffles = pork rind crumbs & egg.) I’ve also made meat waffles with canned chicken or tuna (and egg to bind) to use as buns that really bumps up the protein.

  • Atha Volpe says:

I am a Carnivore but at times I have a small amount of vegetables. I do this because I am a T2D. To start this, focus on fat content. Start with 75/25 burger, don’t patty it, season with S&P and a pinch of garlic and onion. Limit this seasoning until you know if it affects you.Carni is about Elimination until you know you have control of the foods that may be reactive to you. So add small amounts of your favorites back in ’til you know if it makes you crave, itch, skin peel, get intestinal distress, etc. Always remember that falling off any wagon just means getting back up and getting back on. We are triggered and the goal is to heal your gut, and as many illnesses created by SAD as possible. Intersperse primarily Ketovore, have a Small Salad, with Carnivore. Leave the pre-made creamers to Keto days, drink your LMNT instead on Carni days. I hope this helps someone. ALSO check out Courtney Luna and Chris Cooking Nashville to get those recipes like Carni”breads”. Even mashed “potatoes” all Carni.

    • Lisa Martino says:

      All said so well!

    • mymnkzonfyr says:

What is LMNT? I just started carnivore a week ago and have been very strict with it. I’m want to start branching out, potentially to keto, and am trying to soak up all the tips!

I’ll def check out the two recommendations. Thanks!

  • Christie Christie says:

I love my salads and veggies too. Those are hard to give up completely. But a few days a month I do carnivore just to keep my carb count low. There are many many amazing recipes for carnivore. But I keep it simple like you were doing. Chris Cooking Nashville has amazing carnivore recipes. You would never know you were eating carnivore. Would love to see some videos of you testing others carnivore recipes and giving your feedback. Have a great day Mayra and keep smiling.

  • Maria Serna says:

Hi! Todo se ve delicioso, y comes con muchas ganas que se antojaπŸ˜€

  • Trina Harrison says:

Mayra, thanks for the information and for breaking things down for us. I’d been hearing a lot about the carnivore diet, but I needed more info. I know that it won’t work for me because I would be sick eating all that meat, with no veggies, but good luck to those who are currently trying it.πŸ˜‰πŸ‘β™₯️

  • Kristy Burns says:

I’ve been carnivore for 4 months. After the first week, with all the protein and fats, I cut back to eating twice a day because I wasn’t hungry. For the last month, I only eat at dinner time. I do heavy cream in coffee every morning. I’ve gone from 138.4lbs to 116. I’m 54 and feel better than ever.

    • Micky Lewis says:

Ok, i was wondering if I should cut back when I’m not hungry. I just get triggered when I’m hungry so I choose to eat to keep the fat burning going.

    • Kristy Burns says:

@Micky Lewis I’m not sure as everyone is different. I just know what worked for me. Sometimes on the weekends, my husband will cook breakfast and I’ll eat some bacon and sausage. This way of eating has literally put me into intermittent fasting with very little effort on my part. Good luck on your journey!

    • Tiffany elaine Stubbs Farrulla says:

What heavy cream do you use? I use half and half because it’s usually milk and cream only. The heavy creams always have the additives and I try and eat clean. Toxins are stored in fat so toxins and chemicals can make you fatter

  • JoAnna The Singer says:

I needed to lose 25 pounds of beta-blocker weight from 2 years ago, and it was not budging, so I did ketovore with LMNT to keep my electrolytes up. (Keto in all its versions cause your electrolytes to get out of balance because you are peeing lots.)

    From May 27th to September 27th, I lost 25 pounds…roughly 2 pounds a week…and at 66…I’ll take it!!! And…some days were completely carnivore!!!

On my ketovore days, I would only eat a tomato or mushrooms or cucumber or lettuce or spring peas or avocado…all high water veggies…in addition to the meat. I was eating 2 pounds of meat a day…one pound of steak and one pound of ground beef…but the steaks were ALWAYS less than $4.99/lb, and I tried to get the ground beef under $3.00/lb. There were some times that I found ground beef for $1.44/lb…so it CAN be budget friendly, as well if you are willing to shop around.

  • Shawn Sealey Homes, Inc. says:

Yes, sugary salty cravings are gone! I am 4’ 11” and God Bless my Nona, but I nevvvvver want to look like she did (she was 4’ 9”) sooooo your Keto recipes took me from 126 to the current 105 in about 90 days! I eat 1 meal a day around 3-4 everyday. That consists of a Taylor Farms Salad (Sam’s Club), 3 net carbs and then a meat and cheddar wrap using Hero wraps (the besssst & 0 carbs) or meat nachos using Ala Madre chips (the best for chips) or chicken crust pizza, eggs, grilled chicken, etc. Occasionally, a steak. I’ve kept this up since I got such awesome results. I make Keto ice cream but hubby usually scoffs that down but I don’t mind πŸ˜‚
I literally crave nothing, thanks to a lot of banging recipes of yours! Thank you, Mayra! Keep them awesome recipes coming ❀
