I appreciate your respectful response considering this lady weirdly dragged you previously for no reason lol
Exactly and commented on her mental health struggles too.
She didn’t weirdly drag her . Her first video was inappropriate and she called her out and here she is making another video on her because it gets views . She’s just doing it in a nice tone but the motivations are clear lol .
@VIOLET KWhat was she doing that was inappropriate exactly? And I wouldn’t call critizing someone for taking medication for depression and the fact that they won’t ‘diet’ their mental illness away, as a suffient “call out”.
@R Abby never said that . She said that this has helped hers. She never suggested people shouldn’t take their meds .
She’s admitted that she has disordered eating, so a strict regimen and intermittent fasting helps her control the disorder with calorie consumption and limiting her choices seems to calm the anxiety associated with food. Essentially it is redirected ED behaviour but she’s actually eating calories and feeling better. Food is better than no food. It seems to work for her because she was pretty entrenched in her ED, but the danger is that she might push someone on the precipice of an ED to fully jump into one, or influence people entering this type of diet which may be detrimental to their health in the long-term.
Edit: fixed typo
But it’s harmful in the long run because she isn’t working with any professionals. She is prob one step away from a full blown ED and promotes this to people who potentially are struggling with eating disorders
ok?? she said “starch irritates the gut.” she has a massive audience. she should not be spreading misinformation.
She says she is working with a dietitian in her videos.
@cutiebm was it a dietitian or a nutritionist? I remember her saying nutritionist which is not a regulated profession. I could be wrong though
You guys keep spreading half truths and it’s weird
If there’s anyone that deserves to be dragged for nutrition misinformation, it’s Liz Seibert. Full length video please!
Really I agree
I followed her for a video she did talking about the modeling industry and then I got all of these weird food videos and unsubscribed immediately. They still get recommended to me now.
@Nina same here! I thought her modeling and clothing content was fun until I got all of these unhealthy eating habit videos she posts and just unfollowed her, I don’t need that energy in my life
Fr she even promotes drinking raw milk
I find it so difficult because I do like her and have a lot of empathy with her but I personally have found her content really triggering in the past. Especially being an actor where looks are really important for my profession (not as much of course as with models…) it is so easy to fall back into this trap of “healthily” restricting. People like her have tempted me to go Keto because it is not restricting in Calories per day, but I know that it would send me back down into a deep spiral where my whole life would evolve around food.
Then don’t watch her if her talking about Keto triggers you . She doesn’t restrict her self at all and is trying to gain weight . It seems more like a you problem not her creating triggering content . That feels like the underlying message in your comment because why else would you say that .
YESS ABBEY!!! shut down this bs
Here before Liz creates another response video with more misinformation and shaming 🤡
Oh look a goon
@buttercupsyou? Yeah…you are
Everyone grab your popcorn
This girl in general is just hugely problematic I used to followed her for her modeling stuff but didn’t stick around long bc of all the fucking diet culture.
She doesn’t have any toxic diet culture in her videos . People just keep saying . She made a balanced and pretty filling breakfast but because she said it will help keep people full people said it was diet culture . She didn’t say keep you full all day so that you can only eat one meal she just said it’s filling and people started saying “ that’s toxic “. Stop regurgitating what others think and pay attention and make judgements for yourself .
@VIOLET Kshe has made objectively false diet and wellness claims. It would be one thing if Liz just showed what she does and didn’t make any objective claims about the health of it all, but she has on multiple occasions made statements that are blatantly false.
@I want to sleep also, she could have said her same exact statements and if she hadded ” me, my, personally, in my experience ” it worky have completely flipped the script. The 600$ hauls of 4 bags also dont help 😭😭. I still like her modeling videos but have def limitted my watching of her because of this
Yea I also was following her until the videos of ohh I buy all this stuff and it’s a lot better for you then this other stuff! She needs to be stopped! Lol
@VIOLET K She said eating mostly butter and meat is healing to your gut. But yes, no misinformation there.
In her response video she was so rude to abbey too. Abbey was never even dragging her or anything.
Abbey literally drags everyone what are you talking about?
@Bnot in a rude and condescending way….are you dense?
@Bno, she corrects misinformation. She never attacks them personally like the woman she stitched did in response
@Morgan W Yes, you’re right. All those thumbnails using full body bikini pics of celebs, the feigned look of shock/disgust, the snarky remarks and the relentlessness with which she does this is all in the name of correcting misinformation 🙄. Seriously, wake up.
@sew wes No but you clearly are.
people with severe disorders will talk like their restrictions are general wellness advice and it’s ridiculous.
That girl does that in almost every video, worrying.
i hate to speculate about other people’s mental health especially eds, but I was just thinking how her response videos to Abby in particular sound a lot like I did when I was getting defensive over my ed. it was all a very personal attack and framed like it was just wellness advice, incredibly reminiscent of conversations I remember having with my mom and family. it sounded like someone trying to “protect” their disordered eating.
This woman makes sense
The problem isn’t that she’s on this diet. If that’s what she wants that’s fine. The problem is sharing it with an audience and making these broad health claims. She’s not an expert in this field and if she was, she wouldn’t be making these claims.
Saying starch irritates the gut is just mind boggling. It objectively is the least inflammatory and irratating food, hence why people with neausea or stomach issues especially after medical procedures will be advices to take the BRAT approach (Banana, rice, applesauce, toast)
Can you respond to her claims about lactase in-persistence and it’s relationship to unpasteurized dairy?
I have had IBS for decades, and recently got a confirmation of IBD. They are not remotely my only health problems that impact my ability to eat food. I finally got an RD through some of my GI specialty teams. She works specifically with people with my issues. She’s been working hard to undo a lot of misinformation and less informed ‘ better safe than sorry’ advice from non-GI docs. This last visit we spent a lot of time talking about “gentle fibers”. And basically our goal is for me to eat multiple times a day and tick off basic nutritional requirements. No long term elimination, no unnecessary restriction, no counting of calories or carbs or anything, and most importantly making a list of foods that are not only easy on my system but easy and accessible to make and eat. It’s channels like yours that made me push for this kind of provider in the first place. 👍👍👍
All truth! Suffering with IBS for 20 years myself. You constantly have to redo your diet and routine but taking away a lot of things and adding them back in slowly can help figure out your triggers. Mine used to be spicy food, then it was leafy greens, then it was whole grains, and then it was apples etc….
Maybe try low fodmap diet. I just avoid my trigger food. I don’t think re-introducing them is the key but to find what’s safe and what is not. Reducing my intake of onion or sugary fruits help. On top of that, know your type .. IBS-D or IBC-C
Likewise, I’d recommend going on a low fodmap diet for a couple weeks and then slowly trying to reintroduce high fodmap food (once or twice a week). That way you’ll be able to see which sugars cause you problems and just mostly avoid those foods and stick to what doesn’t cause flare ups. It’s all nuanced though, for example I’m sensitive to sorbitol but I can still eat one apricot without problems, but two make me super bloated. Just make sure to work with a nutritionist and eat enough in the low fodmap stage.
And I usually ‘cheat’ and eat some foods that trigger my IBS during my period, because I’m gonna be bloated and in pain anyways.
Please keep this up. She has got to go!
I have actually found that reducing starch lowers my IBS-D symptoms. Especially grains.
Starchy foods are my safest foods with IBS. My tolerance for other foods goes up significantly if I eat them with bread, rice, potatoes, etc.
@Abbey, can you do a video about FODMAP diet?
