    Does hibiscus or any other similar herbal tea contain those pigments that are so beneficial in berries?

      @ that would be very good addition especially if one eats something more inflammatory. Cheap, tastes ok and is easy to prepare.

      @@tossaja I use hibiscus tea to get my blood pressure under control and get off all blood pressure medication. It is helpful but what I think worked the best for me was correcting my potassium sodium balance. I did not decrease sodium in fact increased it with Redmonds salt to a minimum of 5 g per dayand then adding potassium chloride to support the potassium sodium pump. Doctors are wrong telling to quit using salt the physiology science clearly dictates more times than not. It is a lack of the proper balance of potassium in salt.

      @@tossaja Hibiscus in traditional Indian medicine is considered a cooling herb. It is also considered to be very good for the hair, both topical and in tea. Western botanical medicine considers it good for blood pressure (which again in eastern medicine is too much heat)

      Hibiscus is super high in antioxidants. Just be sure to chase the tea with some water to prevent tooth decay. Hibiscus is super acidic.

    Thank you Dr Greger. I am enjoying your new cookbook. I have a question regarding fat intake and I know nuts, seeds, avocado are a benefit but what about coconut milk and coconut flour?

      Coconut is definitely bad, one of the few plant foods that raises cholesterol I believe

    I’m guessing the ppl in this study do not exercise. Many variables in such studies that don’t take into account such things.

    Crazy I was just thinking about this very subject earlier this week when I was waking up sore from… literally nothing. I wanted to start eating more anti-inflammatory foods as I get older so I don’t walk around like Frankenstein’s monster.

    So basically makesure you eat your vegetables with your junk, is fruit juice really that bad? I figured it would be really good for you being the juice of fruits and taking in more fruit that you would otherwise

    For me, the best advice Wrecker has given and continues to give is get off the standard American diet carbohydrates are not necessary for physical activity or good brain function that is not the culprit. Insulin is study a little bit. Let your curiosity be your teacher.
