Friday Favorites: Just How Bad Is Hospital Food?
What do hospitals have to say for themselves for feeding people meals that appear to be designed to inspire repeat business?

I once went to a hospital for some sort of fecal test where they were supposed to collect my stools daily for four days. They gave me white rice, pork and other fiber-free foods and I was unable to give them anything in return.
@@adriandelmer6914 This is a hilarious yet sad anecdote!
🤦
That’s really sad
Thanks for sharing 👍 u made me laugh 😅 hospital food is the worst. I don’t ever eat or drink at the hospital.
Not that bad I read all ingredients on purpose. I’m in the USA
Are you serious? Hospitals make money from the sick. The sicker they can make us, the more the hospital’s profit. Our healthcare system is worse than factory farming. However, the main goal of all capitalist endeavor is to maximize profit preferably with no regulations unless the regs. protect the profiteers.
After an accident, I was taken to a hospital for a few broken bones many years ago. I picked up disease after disease every time I had to go to the hospital taking care of the previous disease from hospitals.
Avoid any healthcare facility unless you have a life-threatening disease. Even a doctor’s office. That is my resolve now.
Healthcare=DISEASE in the US.
Have you read the doctors office documents (disclosures) they make us sign? They basically say the doctor is not responsible for any damage their “care” may do to you, even death.
My father when had 3rd heart attack & bypass next day served some meat piece of squash drowned in butter , egg , bread& butter & milk
His 4th heart attack killed him
People were still smoking cigarettes in hospitals in 1984 when my grandmother died there.
It’s not just the US. I’ve been in hospitals in the UK, in Hong Kong and Latvia. I would not recommend the menu in any of them… bland pap in the main. The care itself was excellent in all, but the food could easily be rejected. In Hong Kong, for example, I had very serious food poisoning after lunch. I was puking so hard they actually took an X-Ray to see if I’d damaged myself which _might_ explain the tasteless weak stodge the following day. As soon as I felt well, however, I discharged myself, went back to the hotel and ordered a cheese omelette – which tasted better than any I’ve had in a long time!
0:10 – Prison food as well.
My mom spent 6 days in the hospital and I stayed with her the whole time. When I went down to the cafeteria it was like walking into a 7-11. They did have a sign that read something like “We believe in the art and science of food.” It was packed with employees!
❤❤ You’re absolutely right I spent a month in the hospital facing a 5 way bypass and I can’t believe the horrible food they feed you they couldn’t get my diet right no matter what I told them even for 4 days I had nothing but eggs and egg omelet for breakfast and egg omelet for dinner a double egg omelet for supper with white sauce and an egg salad sandwich for bedtime snack if I wanted one I never did get 1 and made no sense to me my spike my blood sugar is before bed I just figured they’re trying to kill us 1 way or another Thanks for all that you do I love you❤❤
Yes and when we try to make them follow their ordered diet, they pick up their phone and order fast food to be delivered or have family bring them a pizza.
The amount of anger over a heart healthy breakfast is insane!! People get so pissed when they don’t get their drugs in the form of greasy, fatty food.
