Just a notice, the green suit you wear matches your eyes so well😆🩵

    • @skoopman2675 says:

She is just making her point in a creative way. I like the way Jessie educates and inspireert a lot of people without being restrictive about food. Lets face the truth; a lot of people struggle with diabetes type2 and moord swing.

  • @angeliquehumcke3050 says:

Is there any way you could not do these speedy videos? It is Soo hard to follow and I love to hear what you have to say! 🙈

    • @klaragurkensalat5914 says:

Thank you for saying this! It’s super interesting but very difficult to follow (English isn’t my first language so it’s extra hard 😅)

    • @Mazygolucky says:

I’d guess she does it because she has ADHD and a lot of ADHD people talk fast/process conversations better when they’re fast. Hopefully she does see this though and does some slower videos for people who don’t like that.

    • @wuzittooya says:

Right, not like there’s a huge time constraint on the shorts

    • @angeliquehumcke3050 says:

@@Mazygolucky I get that! I’ve seen other creators do this and I’m assuming it’s cause most people listen to audiobooks/podcasts at 1.5x/2x speed. But shorts content is already…well…short. Speeding it up just doesn’t make sense to me (and is hard to follow)!

    • @carlh42677 says:

No it’s definitely speed up. Probably so she can fit more information in a short window. @@Mazygolucky

She’s my least favourite influencer, as a diabetic. Good for you for calling her out on misinformation.

  • @luisabolado says:

    she’s not a doctor??? 😮😮😮

  • @mindpower6089 says:

I notice if I sugar binge I am pretty cranky the next morning!

  • @s0218386 says:

That cherry-picked video doesn’t quite show the full picture. She isn’t demonizing sugar, just suggesting that people consume it after savoury courses. That’s the gist of it.

  • @AmyOfEarth says:

    Thank you, Abbey!! 👏

  • @monicastraub3372 says:

She’s just trying to sell her book full of lies.

  • @matthewmattiematt says:

I can tell you this. When I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes 45 years ago we were given two charts on what to expect when sugar is low and also high….there is truth in how the ups and lows can affect your relationships with loved ones. I have a friend who also is type 1 diabetic and has the emotional effects of blood sugar swings. I didn’t watch the GG video but….there is truth in when your levels are more stable your emotions are better grounded.

    • @Hannahgs says:

You should watch until the end of the video lol

    • @matthewmattiematt says:

@@HannahgsI did watch until the end. The up and down swings have a horrible effect on not just the side of getting low. High blood sugar does it also. The hard part with high blood sugar is there are no physical effects other then getting tired…but the person’s demeanor changes also and it’s hard to catch it.

    • @Hannahgs says:

@@matthewmattiematt she talks about this at the end of the video.

    • @Corinneleightaylor says:

@@HannahgsI’m also type 1 for 40 yrs and we live it so I think we would know better than anyone.

  • @janetslater129 says:

My anxiety goes way up if I don’t eat. With having depression and anxiety, this makes eating really hard…..like I know I need to eat, but brain goes “Too tired, and I don’t deserve to eat.” Blah…..

  • @777MNM says:

Omg i used to watch this women she is full of it 😂😂😂 i can see now…

  • @rokzane says:

OMG, this woman drives me nuts. WE ALL KNOW WHAT HANGRY IS. The fact this is a thing is not proof that sugar needs to be avoided. It means we all maybe should eat more balanced meals and snacks, and maybe eat higher sugar foods with some protein. This is not some surprising revelation.

  • @FPLCJ says:

Thank you for pointing this out. I used to like her content because I found it interesting but I don’t like how much she’s veered into demonising carbs and making people fear having blood sugar spikes. It’s fine to inform people of how the foods they pair together can impact blood sugar but going round saying ‘Don’t do this’ or ‘Doing this will make this happen’ isn’t helping anyone, it’s just fear mongering

  • @MLawrence1941 says:

I used to watch all of Jessie’s content purely because she’s a great dresser. I’d watch her videos and be like “glucose, glucose” oh those shoes are lovely “spikes, spikes” oh I’ve got a skirt just like that one, I loved how she matched it with that jumper”. Then I realized I probably should not engage with her content and help spread missinformation 😅 but still, I sort of miss the fashion show

  • @f_f_f777 says:

Thank you Abbey I can’t stand her. I’ve blocked her everywhere
