The last 2 days of April, Autumn!
Love the info! How much do you recommend eating everyday?
@@teresakuhn446 for bone health my doctors have told me to aim for 1 cup of dairy of some sort at each meal. Milk, yogurt or cottage cheese.

Great video!😊
Does skyr have the same benefits?
@@emilym8943 she has praised skyr in other videos. It’s a super good source of protein!
Very interesting as usual. Thank you and congratulations! Big week! 🥰
Hi Autumn, love your channel but I can’t do any dairy, will you have a plan excluding dairy and eggs?
Not trying to be rude… Genuinely wondering, what does not being able to have dairy have to do with eggs?
@@CynthiaRaeC I have a severe egg allergy as week. Not a rude question at all!
@@erikal8808 Ah!! I’m sorry you have to deal with both dairy and egg issues!!
I love you! But I do not eat Greek yogurt! And it seems all of your recipes have that included😢
Just made another batch last week. 2 jars of pineapple & raspberries. The other 3 jars blueberries, blackberries & strawberries
@@marymarseglia4536 yum! Good for you 💪
About five years ago I tested to have high sensitivity to dairy. To my surprise on the breakdown sheet of various foods cottage cheese and cheddar were normal. I began watching Autumn’s channel and learned Greek yogurt is low in lactose. I have no adverse reaction to it. I depend upon Greek yogurt and cottage cheese on a daily basis. On another note: Autumn check out Dr. Ellie Phillips. The benefits of xylitol mints after eating and allowing the biofilm to remineralize teeth. 🦷 safe enough that Finland gives it to kids in school.
This applies to skyr as well?
I think so. Sometimes even higher protein. I’ve heard Autumn praising skyr in other videos
My middle daughter had trouble with milk when I weened her. I used Keifer to substitute the milk. She thrived with the keifer and loves it still 12 years later! Now I know WHY this upset her tummy. Thank you❣️
I can only have greek joghurt from goat milk, which is lower in protein, or else I’ll get horrible acne. No cottage cheese and especially no glass of cow milk or whey allowed for me neither. I read that this is related to the growth hormone in cow milk which is quite elevated. I thought this might change if I cut my sugar intake (I’m doing the body recomposition program), but so far not really. Tried to have cottage cheese the other day and a couple of days later my face was covered with acne 😭
Autumn, If you dislike Greek Yogurt, can you get the same benefits from fermented cottage cheese? I’m not lactose intolerant.
I have recently ditched flavored Greek yogurt for plain, whole milk Greek yogurt which I “sweeten” with my homemade strawberry, blueberry or blackberry compote and a bit of Ceylon cinnamon. So good!
Good choice 👍
How do you make your compote? I would love to switch to plain Greek yogurt also.
@@nscb50 2 cups fresh, preferably organic berries of choice ( I buy extra, wash and freeze for making later) a little water, about 1/4 cup, I add a tsp of organic date sugar it’s made entirely of dates, dash of Ceylon cinnamon because it’s so healthy!, and or a drizzle of raw or local honey if you want it a little sweeter. Stir & bring to boil and simmer 20-25 mins stirring occasionally. I put it in small glass containers after it cools and freeze all but one so I always have them ready to defrost and use! I’d say use the refrigerated one within a week. Enjoy!!
@ try putting frozen berries in a saucepan… any kind works but blueberries are especially good with all their pectin… cook on medium until they thaw and cook down and make a thick sauce. Stir occasionally and mash the berries once they are soft.
Add just enough sweetener to make it taste sweet enough for you. Sugar, agave, or stevia… whatever you prefer.
It makes a magically delicious sauce for yogurt, oatmeal, or even just a wee treat after a meal!
@@MagentaOtterTravels I’d stay away from sugar or any kind of artificial sugar. That’s why I use date “sugar”, it’s just ground up dried dates
How does this compare with skyr? Does eating skyr every day have the same benefits?
good stuff thx
I will up my intake of Greek yogurt.
I feel like dairy is always a controversial topic. My nutritionist at the gym says dairy is inflammatory and he advises against it. The dietician at the hospital said get your calcium through dairy products rather than taking supplements. Mark Hyman and many others claim not to eat dairy because it’s inflammatory and that you can get your calcium through plants. As a cancer survivor, all of this still seems confusing in what is correct.
I don’t see the making Greek yogurt video. Can you link it here please? Thanks!
