    • Schu2505 says:

      I’m surprised there’s no Glycine.

    • no I'm not a kpop pfp 🙄 (sheacy) says:

There’s no safe amount of sun exposure that doesn’t cause damage. What exactly are the unique benefits of sun vitamin d. Both food and sun vitamin d go to the liver to be made into the SAME vitamin D

    • John Reidy says:

@Schu2505 Glycine is unproven. But itis the latest “thing” that everyone is talking about…..

  • P Jaworek says:

He could lower the pills by opening a lot of the palatable ones and putting them in the green giant, etc. I’ve got most of these in my stack except for the Rx ones. I only need to swallow 2 pills upon waking two with dinner and 5 at bedtime. I’ve got some extras too that he doesn’t have.

  • Bea Bea says:

Even though he takes non-feminising estrogen; Brian looks more and more like a woman.

  • Libertas says:

I was surprised how, having followed the science and devoured scientific papers for 5yrs+, my own stack that I’ve built up independently, is so similar to much of blueprint. I don’t run the caloric deficit, consume meat and fish, and fast for 90hrs a month and eat in a window most days, so am not as strict, but also do some things differently. I’m also seeing excellent results.

You completely brushed over the longevity aspects of low dose lithium, and merely mentioned its more known use for bi-polar (where the amounts are much higher). I would listen to some of Peter Attia’s discussions where lithium comes up, as it’s a must to add to any longevity stack in my opinion. I’m also with Siim on questioning why glycine is completely missing from his stack, and personally take 3g with NAC twice a day.

  • NYGuy2000 says:

Fascinating how each health YouTuber gains guru status by “owning” a certain topic. Siim “owns” glycine. Siim is not where he is because he takes excessive amounts of glycine but because he is young and exercises. Ben Greenfield’s physique is the result of many years on TRT, not from eating meat. Let’s see whether they are still around in their 50s +.

    • A Tryptamine Molecule says:

      Interesting observation.

    • poorbob says:

Siim is pretty transparent in a lot of his podcasts. He admits that he pays attention to health trends, and be does monetize them in a sense. For example, I’ve been watching his content for ~6 years. Back then he was the Keto / Intermittent fasting guy. Then he became incredibly interested in autophagy.

Yes, this is his job. It makes sense for him to compete and “own” various search results, like glycine. But, at least in my opinion, he seems genuine and I believe he follows his own advice.

    • NYGuy2000 says:

@poorbob I like him a lot, too. My issue is broader. We have no idea what these products do to the body long-term. Siim now takes a huge multiple of glycine of what the body needs to satisfy its glycine needs. What does the excess amount do? Can you rule out that it does not turn off some genes? Nobody knows. Perhaps these genes then drive down methylation, which makes it harder to detoxify, etc. Get my point?

We do all these things based on a narrow understanding of what an isolated component may do. We have zero idea about the complexity.

    • Laura Castillo says:

I think Siim is more centered and he doesn’t go to the extreme like this guy. I think Siim’s approach is well fundamented and studied and he is capable to take better decisions because of that.

  • bogrunberger says:

Growth hormone is the essential component in the TRIIM trials. They combined it with a lot of other components to blunt the harmful effects, but HGH should rebuild the thymus and that’s probably why he takes it.

To take B12 once a week seems very strange. B12 is not well absorbed in large amounts, so you need to get B12 regularly to make sure your body absorbs it. To take it so seldom as he does seems a sure way of getting a B12 deficiency.

    • GnosticVision says:

Some people store it very well. He also tests everything all the time. So is likely fine.

  • Oleksandr Danylov says:

vitamin C that he takes is needed as a cofactor to iodine, this could be the reason to take additional amount of C. Iodine detoxes heavy metals, halides and other toxins, so it uses up many nutrients that need to be topped up. Also his diet is mainly cooked (he is also re-heats his main meal, so it is cooked twice) and cooking destroys most vitamins.

    • I LOLed says:

It’s cooked at very low temperatures in wet heat and acidity. The loss of most nutrients such as water soluble vitamins is minimal using this method. Minerals are essentially unaffected. And some micronutrients actually become more bioavailable through cooking. Also, many so called “anti nutrients” are greatly reduced through cooking. Most of the important stuff that may negatively be affected by cooking he takes in either the green giant, nutty puddy or supplement form.

    • Oleksandr Danylov says:

@I LOLed there was a video where he re-heated his meal on a stainless steel pan, from what I understand it was not low heat, minerals are all right of course, but vitamins and many other substances are lost. I looked up studies on folate in cooking , it gets destroyed very easily, many other vits are greatly reduced too. Centenarians consume a very large part of their diet raw and fresh – this way they get enzymes, vitamins and the best bacteria for the microbiome. He is already having some issues with that since he added fermented foods recently. Living without his own garden (when he can afford it so easily) is weird. I think that he is brain washed to trust doctors and scientists way too much, most of what he supplements can come from via clean foods grown on rich soils – fruits, veggies and greens are full of precursors to what is considered missing in plant based diets.

  • Delphine Kirkland says:

I track my nutrition with Chronometer and I get enough of so many things he takes pills for in my diet. Garlic, ginger and turmeric are foods. Kelp is food, and loaded with iodine. I supplement, but only where it’s important.

  • it is me OK says:

I would like to see how Bryan would do if he took the Viome test, like will he get a GOOD score on every sub category, will any of his scores say NOT OPTIMAL, I just want to see what his scores would look like for that test, I’ve never seen anyone with mostly GOOD scores

  • August Mosco says:

This was good Slim, thanks. I believe everyone should formulate their own supplement stack and lifestyle. I’m 73 this year and I take 35 different supplements daily. I justify the $200.00+ monthly expense because I do not take any prescription drugs. I’m on a low Carb. /Higher Protein diet. I walk 5-6 miles a day, I lift weights 5-6 days a week, use red-light therapy and I meditate daily. I have the body composition, blood work and BMI (14% BF) that I had 30 years ago…and I feel GREAT! I believe that’s the bottom line; how do you feel? Thanks again.

    • Little Bird says:

What supps do you take, August?

    • P Jaworek says:

@August Mosco nice stack, thanks for sharing. I’d like to codify my list like this. What do the numbers before the weights and the characters after mean?

    • August Mosco says:

@P Jaworek Hi again. Thank you for taking such an interest. The first column is the actual name/supplement (of course). The number immediately after that is what I perceive as a practical dosage. One X is one daily, two xs are two daily. The third column is the quantity of each dose. For example: I take TMG—2–(@480mg each). And the last column represents how many doses I’m currently taking. For example:
I take Beta Sitosterol at an ideal dose of 2 capsules at 800mg each and I take 2 daily. I hope I explained it clearly. Thanks again for asking.

  • David Jenkins says:

This was a significant breakdown. I have saved this for the reference sheet. Thank you

  • paul nicolas says:

I admire this guy in all that he does and even if he dies younger or at an average age at least he can say he tried . I can’t understand all the negative hype on here against him .

I really couldn’t afford this diet and don’t have the discipline required for all this but I guess I have good genetics anyways as well as eating McDonald’s a lot I generally do eat healthy and my diet consists of multivitamin and vit c everyday , I just fast for about 12-13 hrs , I drink coffee, loads of mixed ground herbs spices and green tea in the morning which curbs my appetite till at least afternoon after which I consume salads plus oily fish and herbs and spices . But I do treat myself at night to either 100-200 grams of dark or fruit and nut milk chocolate daily and or have a veggie burger or fish burger and fries st McDonald’s at night or maybe go for a carvary once a month and put a variety of cruciferous beguile on the plate and a variety of meats and the rest porridge or muesli which I eat a lot of . As well as a large spoonful of tomatoes purée and olive oil and a few eggs . With this diet I’ve lost about 8 inches off my wait (am 32 inches) and am 5ft7 and weigh around 10 stone. I can do 80 proper press-ups without stopping (100 with a push) and run /walk twice a week for about 30mins and also try to walk/cycle places if I go out eg when shopping . My bmi is 22.5 and pulse rate is 45-60 resting . I’ve never had a health issue and rarely even get a cold and am 54 ? Haven’t been to the doctors for 35 years . I even do clinical trials volunteering as a healthy volunteer so o get regular checkups before I do them. My parents never did all these anti-ageing things that’s recommended by these experts nowadays and just ate normally and they died 89 and 87 respectively (My neighbours were the same and died in their 90s. )

Is it this better to eat properly and have treats on the side and get some exercise or do we really need to all these other things to extremes as the experts recommend ? 🤔 I don’t know but am going to continue with what am doing for now if it’s working for me

    • bizznick444 Joe says:

You can try and help donating to researchers finding a way to make it work without having to stuff your mouth full of supplements. There’s been some headway done on a more self-sustaining way to keep the body functions working.

  • Tony Castani says:

Thanks SIIM for the your breakdown of his supplement regime. The muscle loss from Acarbose intake is mitigated by his frequent strength training. It’s also done to promote the AMPK pathway which has proven longevity benefits in many animal models.

  • Golden Warrior - the art of longevity says:

I am 52 years old, I’ve been weightlifting for 39 years, and doing yoga for 13 years. I am only a science project of one but would have to argue exercise is 90% or more of what keeps you young. Popping pills is easy and might help a little but it’s pixie dust compared to exercise.

Good luck to everyone on your Fitness and longevity goals ✌️

    • Anton K says:

I have not seen people over 50 in the gym who would work out for a long time and were without wrinkles and looked 20 or more years younger

  • quakerlyster says:

I’d like to see you react to the 80 year old Vietnamese man who hasn’t slept in 62 years. He smokes 70 cigarettes a day and constantly is drinking rice wine, also doen’t eat much. He works hard all day and night.

  • Brucho Sindicate says:

Something to add on NAC. I wouldn’t say its only potential issue is histamine intolerance especially at higher doses. It can also cause anhedonia due to its glutamate regulation in the brain. I’ve actually also tested it in the past with amphetamine. After using up to 1.6g of NAC (half of that time with Glycine) for probably 2+ months, NAC completely removed dopaminergic effects of amphetamine. A high dose of amphetamine with 0 tolerance resulted in no dopamine response, only noradrenaline (which sucked) which is amazing and scary at the same time.

If it can have such a strong effect on the brain that even amphetamine at high doses with 0 tolerance result in minimal dopamine release if any, I wonder what else it can do. At the same time, I wonder if this change is permanent or not. Never tested this again after stopping NAC for prolonged time. Though I know that when I did at the time, I was 2 days off NAC and it still was affected my brain in this way. If it’s permanent, that would mean my life’s highs will never be as high and I couldn’t utilize dopaminergic stimulants if needed in the future ever again. So something to consider.

  • Justin Music and Skateboarding says:

There is absolutely no way all of this pills he’s taking won’t eventually be discovered to actually have horrible negative side effects or be completely counter-productive for the goal of longevity, be it some specific pill, or just the fact that he’s consuming SO many…

  • spndrp says:

I think what he does is interesting and he seems to be really good person. Can’t understand how people online can be so hateful towards him.

  • P Peja says:

Thank you Siim for the video.
What is you opinion about Bryan`s timing of feeding window? Bryan has last meal at 11:00 AM.

  • Deb Manrique says:

I admire what Bryon is trying to do, but am concerned that his diet is so limited. He eats the same 1 meal + snack each day and i believe he is missing out on the benefits of food variety (i.e. microbiome range) Even different herbs and spices can add a lot to our body’s health. I eat 30 different fruits and vegetables each week (my latest goal I’ve reached)
