I develop osteoporosis in my 30s from years of undereating overdoing cardio , emotional stress trauma gut issues
I thought I was eating healthy but I was not eating enough protein not enough nutrition
After I got diagnosed 2 years ago with osteoporosis I completely changed my diet and my exercise I had my 2nd dexa scan a few months ago
So my doctor said I have a 13% increase and bone density but I lost 2% in my spine
I’m very disappointed with that 2% loss!! So I need to step up my game, this video was very helpful but I was hoping for more information on diet and nutrition, can you please make a video on specific best foods to eat for bone density?
I don’t eat that much meat I only eat meat once in awhile but my staple animal foods and protein is mostly dairy foods I also eat fish and eggs but not every day , I’m mostly plant based but obviously not vegan, a list of specific Best bone healthy foods would be super helpful because nutrition is the area where I still struggle it’s the most confusing not just for me but for a lot of other people that have osteoporosis that I talked to
Lifting heavy weights increases bone density, along with proper nutrition, vitamin D and K
@@peacefulruler1 but what specific foods are the best to eat to increase bone density?
When it comes to lifting weights I’m not very strong yet I know they say you have to lift super heavy but I’m not able to lift that heavy right now
For example if I do overhead press with 12 lb dumbbells my arms are wobbly, I can lift them all the way up but I wobble but if I do overhead press with my 10 lb dumbbells they don’t feel as heavy but I can lift them without wobbling, are we supposed to lift heavy to the point where it hurts and it’s wobbly? or
Is proper technique more important until you get stronger??
@@daysoftheboo fatty fish like salmon and sardines, leafy greens (salad), sauerkraut.
Everyone has to build up their strength little by little. The point is to start and keep going.
You can use weight machines at a gym. Gym memberships are inexpensive nowadays.
@@peacefulruler1 luckily thanks to my brother I have my own gym at home, i have a standing pull-up bar
barbells and dumbbells and plates for my barbell I can work out at home but I’m just not that strong right now, is it safe to eat fish everyday? If it’ll help my bones I can eat fish everyday not really a fan of fish but I’ll do it for my bones
And fish is much much much much cheaper and affordable than other meats
@@peacefulruler1 what about nuts and seeds? Are they good for bones?? Beans and legumes?
I eat beans everyday
Hi Siim I have a random question. How often do you get sick from stuff like flu or colds?
Maybe once a year a runny nose
saunas at 100°C ? 😱 Isn’t it supposed to be lower than 80 or around that for longevity purposes ? (not talking about bone density)
That’s what the study used
Thank you so much for sharing, im only in my 40s and already have osteoporisis. Thank you again 🙏
Thanks for watching!
@@SiimLand Thanks for your reply, means a lot😁. Bless you
Hi Siim, i might add that it’s important to see the dose of the vitamin d studies that says that vitamin d has no effect to bone density. Because so many vitamin d studies uses extremely low dose and therefore is not a good study to determine the efficacy of the supplementation. Vitamin d is a volume game, if you have vit d of under 80ng/mL. I dont think it’s optimal at all, and a supplementstioj of 1000-2000iu a day is not going to help anybody
Jumping on a trampoline is good for hip bone density
I’ve read some interesting literature on boron supplementation as well
What about using cycling BPC 157 and TP 500 for increasing bone density?
