It’s the bacteria in your gut that is craving the sugar.
In my experience, cutting out sweets altogether is best, and the cravings end after about two weeks.
For me, 2 days.
But how you deal with pms cravings?
I always love your no-nonsense approach!β€ Cutting sugar is such a challenge!
I totally agree. So hard.
I recommend a smoothie though more green leafy greens
Thank you for all your of your meals hints and tricks I am still struggling someone said to me I’m doing dirty I can’t be hangry at work so I end up cheating often but I always go back to keto the next day I wish I could get below 20 g of carbs a day but it’s really really hard I have lost a lot of weight doing ketoish
I went through the worst sugar withdrawalβ¦. You gotta get past it! It does pass. I was exhausted, headache, and weak for a week. Couldnβt even lift my arms.
Did used any substitutes?
@@angela1357ify It took time to find the right one but for me itβs monk fruit. Sometimes Truvia.
When I started keto 5 years ago, I felt really bad from detoxification of all the bad things in my body. Iβm glad I knew what I could expect, because when it happened, I understood what was going on, and it would pass, which it did. I have kept the 45 pounds off now. My ketoversary is on July 29, which will be 6 years, I am 66 years old and weigh 130 pounds @5β5β. π Thanks for all you do. I watch all your videos and I always learn something from them. β€ππ
I like that, ketoversaryπ
I have to remember how bad my sugar withdrawal gotβ¦so I donβt repeat the bad pattern. π« I started keto and I love itβ¦thanks for the motivation! π
I gained 20 pounds after hip surgery and was having trouble losing weight. I knew I had to lose it but I continued to eat poorly. My legs and ankles were swollen 9 months after surgery and it wasn’t because of it. I recently had labs drawn for a doctor appointment and my blood sugar was very high. I decided at that moment that it was time to cut sugar from my diet. It has been difficult but once I started and committed to it, I’ve been able to stick to it. The swelling in my legs and ankles have gone down and I’m feeling much better. Cutting out sugar is the key. No more sugar for me!!
Oh my lord I though the kid in the thumbnail was Nati!!
Good for you ..way to go. Hard work really does pay offπ same for me I had pain, swelling, and inflammation in my knees, legs, and ankles… cutting out sugar and all the toxic foods I was eating has really helped me. Plus I fast too.ππ«
Iβm struggling so hard right now. Iβve lost 40 pounds in the past year but, have gained five back recently. Iβm beating myself up over it and trying to get back on track. I really donβt want to lose all the progress Iβve made itβs just really difficult right now and Iβm trying to find a way to get over this slump Iβm in. Maybe once winter is over and the sun comes back out Iβll feel better about things. Who knows
Same!!!!!! I lost it all last year, looked amazing for a couple of months then spent 6 months completely self-sabotaging and gaining nearly all of it back. So. If youβve managed to only gain 5 pounds back over winter and Christmas WELL DONE !!!!!!!!! Donβt beat yourself up, you can do it again and Iβm pretty sure, as soon as your body clocks the lengthening days, that itβll be easier to climb back on the wagon and start again. Youβre bound to have fluctuations, and just remember how amazingly youβve done! Iβve started again too, except Iβve got 21 to get rid of (again!). Wish me luckβ¦.
Good luck! You can do it!!
Iβm going through early menopause, and things have changed drastically. Keto is great as well as fasting, Iβve done both not easy but significantly easier than now ( menopause).. Iβd say itβs 5x harder for menopausal women. Im not saying to stop doing it, I just want to emphasize how much harder itβs during this stage for us women
LOVE your new bedroom set up.. Noticed it right away!!!!!
Perfect timing!
Oh good to know thanks. I made the mistake of quitting both Caffeine and Sugar at the same time. Feels like I have a mild flu but depression and anxiety has gotten so much better. Also feel more βwith-itβ mentally.
My 1st week of βNo Carbsβ¦β was hell. I actually argued with MYSELF on the way home~yelling at MYSELF like a child~ to NOT buy ice cream to eat before going to bed.OMG! My βadultβ self won the argument, but how crazy is that?! Sugar addiction is NO JOKE! This βwithdrawalβ is seriously worse than quitting smoking~ believe me~ I know!!! So far, so goodβ¦.i keep praying, because I need all the help I can get. Btw, I was bawling tears when I walked into the house, but I knew that I was doing the right thing. I can at least laugh about it now π€
Proud of you!
I have done a calorie restriction with keto staying under 10 carbs a day and 8 months later I went from 6ft 355lbs to 214lbs with a GW of 165lbs
May I ask how many calories you were eating per day? on average
As someone who is a sweets fanatic, I really appreciate all your videos, tips and tricks!!!! Youβre such an inspiration!
Thank you for this.
Iβm starting 75 hard on Monday and scared to cut sugar. I started to feel like itβs almost impossible recently. Because it is an addiction. Iβm using this advice.
They put sugar in everything and everyone pushes it on you it’s so hard to get away from it because everyone around you is addicted too….but I’m working really hard to stay away from it….great videoπ
First week was the worse for me! But Iβm glad i made it through and I feel ok now!!!! I was so fatigued and weak! Major headaches.
I really appreciate your videos with all the information ,you don’t know how much support it gives me
What an inspiration this channel has been to me and countless others, great job and you’re appreciated!
This came just in time for me. I’ve been trying to go low carb/gluten free. Lent is this week and this was something I was looking to give up along with my phone (certain sites). Thank you!!
