A few months ago, I did a video on Ozempic, which is a GLP-1 agonist intended for blood sugar control with the often desired side effect of weight loss. However, these drugs also have undesired side effects, and while the comments I received were not all against the drug. I was shocked by how many people shared problems. Ozempic is expensive, requires weekly shots, and, as you can see, comes with unpleasant and even scary side effects. There is an alternative that can leave you feeling better, not worse, and all you need to do to make it work is shop for different foods at the grocery store. In this video, I share how keto does what GLP-1 agonists promise.

Dr. Becky, How is your little doggie?
She is still with us! She can no longer see or hear, but still loves to eat. She will be 18 in March. Thanks for asking 🙂
@ 🤩 That’s great!
No to ozemic
So you’re talking bad about that medication I’ve been on wegovy
I have been on it for 5 months my I want to see has gone down from 6.9% to 5.9 already I have lost 28 pounds everything has side effects you cannot get around that if you can’t deal with them then you don’t have to take the medication or if you don’t want to deal with them don’t take the medication. I was on the keto before I lost 70 lbs put it all back on it doesn’t do the same thing for you that’s not true for one thing is it does not curb my appetite it doesn’t make me feel full and I was doing strict keto I lost 70 lb. So please don’t talk so bad about the weight loss medications
Can you eat less taking the weight loss medications not so long Keto and it’s more expensive shall I go on
Sharing facts, both positive and negative, is not talking bad about the drug.
It parleyes your stomach and you can dièeee
I really like you Becky but why like alot of others you mess it up with lmnt….knowing it has maltodextrin in ingredients!!!
@candy3302 Agreed! I’ve also pointed out how continuing to promote lmnt degrades Dr. Becky’s own credibility. Her response was that she spoke with the company, and the amounts of maltodextrin are very small. NOT the point! They’re dishonest and continue to leave maltodextrin off of their ingredients lists. Thus, their flavored electrolytes are essentially no different than all of those other ultra-processed products in the center aisles of the grocery store that she is telling everyone to avoid. 🤔
Malodextrin is the least of our problems.
@@ktjomeyers No, but companies lying about what ingredients are in their products is a problem. When discovered, why continue to promote them?
Start fasting and eating real food
Keto as opposed to medication sets you up for the behaviours for success when the weight loss regime is stopped. Reading labels, understanding what your putting in your body, how your body reacts to foods and willpower to stay on track in the face of temptations.
What if u don’t have gallbladder? No bile.
Hi! Your dr should have addressed that with you
Can you speak to the fact that losing weight is different than losing fat? Glp-1 causes weight loss, not fat loss only, which includes bone, muscle, organ etc. People may want to rethink injecting these hormones and making big pharma richer.
What diet causes only the loss of fat?? None!
Keto
I have tried to slow down my eating. Taking twice as long to chew and enjoy eat bite of food lets your digestive system provide real-time feedback.
Thank you for boldly sharing the truth. I know so many who are on Ozempic or something similar. A 36 yr old neighbor actually died as a result. There is no magic bullet, it is better for our health to give ourselves grace to do the hard work ❤
Thank-you, Dr. Becky.
Thank you Dr. Becky and Happy New Year. That LMNT hack for the winter would be a game changer…I will definitely look into this.
Thank you!
