This is what I do, but I heat the oil/butter first. I add a few kernels until they pop (to know if the oil is ready). Then I add the rest and pop away!

I’ve got something better: put a 1/4 cup of kernels in a regular paper lunch bag. Fold over the top a couple of times and microwave about 3 minutes…WaLa…perfect popcorn that you can dress anyway you want….mellted butter or something healthier.
The butter will probably burn the popcorn faster , I like to use coconut oil instead.

I love lots of butter on my popcorn. I like to pop it in bacon grease, them add melted butter once it’s popped.

Bought an air popper online and it only cost AU$39. Much easier and no fat or oil required.
Aren’t you suppose to melt the butter 1st? I use olive oil. And looks like you have a lot of unpopped kernels.
