I’ve learned so much from your videos! And I think you’re right that our age group, late 40s to late 60s, is kind of underserved by marketers and retailers. It’s very hard to find things that flatter my figure. But I’ve learned so many tips from you. Thank you so much for all you do!

  • Cindy Wiemers says:

LOVED THIS VIDEO!!!!!! This is exactly what I needed. I’m 54 and am trying to go through my clothes and get rid of my fruppie old lady stuff. Thank you so much for this awesome and ENCOURAGING video. Love your style. Love you, Cindy 🌻💗💗💗💗

Hi Cindy I hope my comment didn’t sound as a form of privacy invasion your comment tells of a wonderful woman with a beautiful heart which led me to comment I don’t normally write in the comment section but I think you deserve this complement. I feel like I have just met a new best friend! Thank you so much for the wonderful videos and encouragement. I tried the stretching and walking videos as well as the casual outfit video and have started my new year off with some things that I can actually use to look and feel better this year. Thanks again!

I love this advice I’m 65 and 5’1″ , I still have long hair and I get lots of compliments about it. Thank you for making it so easy to match our style for our size.

  • Patsy Cline says:

One of the main elements that stood out to me in this video is the use of SOLID colors rather than big prints. I have always favored solids over prints. Even small prints just look too “busy” on me. They seem to take away rather from rather than enhance your look.

  • straberri1979 says:

I dressed like this 10 years ago in my 30s because I was plus size and didn’t have many options. I’ve since gained some confidence and gotten better about finding things more on trend. Need to make sure I don’t still have these remnants in my closet! More videos like this please!

  • Kristina Marie says:

Love, love, love that you’ve done this channel. I look at least a decade younger and have been trying to find some beautiful fashions age appropriate. Only thing to suggest is that vertical stripes are more flattering to shorter figures than the horizontal. Thank you so much for making it so easy. I immediately followed instruction and looked at Marie Osmond fashion street / images and found everything flattering and non flattering she’s been photographed wearing. This is very cool! Please keep it up sister/ sistar! May the goodness of the goddess be with you!

  • BrambleDragons says:

I’m in my 30s, all of these were perfect!

no sacrificing comfort but feeling cute and updated! you are never to ‘old’ to invest time and care for yourself ladies! you’re worth it!

  • Angela Hamlett says:

I’m not ashamed to be 58 but the best advice is to stop telling people how old you are. I can wear anything. As soon as I say my age, the energy changes.
    Great tips.

    • Jessica Hothersall says:

I read a while back, that Cher (wearing a leather well fitted jump suit) was accosted by a bolshy youngster who told her she had no right to be wearing such outfit’s at her age, as it was just for the young. She told said youngster, that ”we’ (me too!) invented this look, and the youngster had no right to wear it, unless we who invented this look in the 60’s said they could! Go Cher… 🙂

    • 9988ScooterGirl says:

@꧁Karen Mitchell꧂ Not to burst your bubble but almost everyone thinks they look younger than they are. This is bolstered by flattery from others who say, “Wow. You don’t look anywhere near (insert age here)!” They’re actually saying it to be nice but we, insecure species that we are, believe them.

    • Patricia C Caruolo says:

Agreed and your age is no ones business

    • lynzannabel69 says:

      @꧁Karen Mitchell꧂ Perfect answer! 😊👌🏾❤

  • Amy Trottier says:

This points out what is wrong with our society in terms of women and age. We are conditioned from a very young age to devalue a woman once she reaches a certain age. It’s like, “Who cares about her, at 50 she’s basically irrelevant, let’s dress her as a neutral lump.” I just discovered your channel, and I’m really enjoying the content. Thank you!

  • beautifulcrazy says:

I’m so happy I found this video Shelley! Just this week I’ve been looking up trends for my age, 59, going on 60 next year. I have loads of clothing I’ve never even worn which are perfect for my new look, having lost weight.

You have great style and a great body!

  • Sibylle DeCarlo says:

A fun & helpful video! As a 65 yr old gal I am focusing more on what colors, & styles work for my curvy body shape. Have a great day everyone! 💖

  • Kelly Biggs says:

These are great tips! So glad I found your channel. I turn 50 this coming year and I still want to feel youthful but don’t want to look like I’m trying to be 20. Love your content❤️

  • Vivian Hudacek says:

I’ve fallen into such a rut after retiring several years ago & especially with the pandemic. Trying to step up my game, & it’s made me feel better about myself vs. focusing on my age. Thanks!

  • ShellBellPlayz says:

A 50 year old woman can wear exactly what a 20 year old does and look so pretty. As long as you wear the correct size , at any age , you’ll always look beautiful 💖

    • Chris K says:

Not exactly. Styles are different but your point is correct that you can look pretty w any clothes

    • Margaret Quigley says:

      Bikinis..and short shorts…cmon..

    • Val V says:

@Margaret Quigleyand cropped tops 😬. I know someone that I work with who’s over 50 as am I, but she wears the torn worn ripped jeans etc and I just want to say “Really” ! There is a limit to wearing some items that is only for the younger gals!

    • Val V says:

In Canada the capri pant is the worst, what your describing that you suggest to wear is a crop pant as we refer to it! Or just flip up a cuff on a pair of jeans!

  • happy 😊 says:

Love how it shows you how when you’re 50 or up to 70 years old you can still wear clothes that 20 year olds would wear and look just as good!❤️

  • Vanessa Regan says:

Your style is always so on-point, and I love how you’re able to incorporate trends without looking like you’re trying too hard. Your tip about mixing prints was especially useful – I’ve always been a little intimidated by that, but now I feel like I can pull it off. Keep up the great work!

  • Kim Mueller says:

I love your channel because you always provide practical advice that I can actually use in my day-to-day life. Your tip about investing in quality basics was a game-changer for me – I used to be all about fast fashion, but now I see the value in investing in pieces that will last. Thanks for helping me level up my style!

  • Carol Winchell says:

It’s important to find a style that works for you and makes you feel confident and comfortable. Additionally, taking care of your skin, staying hydrated, and getting enough sleep can also help you maintain a youthful glow. Thank you so much for this. ❣
