      Wrong. That’s would be the same of boiling water with sodium chloride and generating chlorine, which is obviously not true.
      The only way fluoride salt can generate fluorine is through acid reaction (sulfuric acid) or electrolysis.

    Has to be relatively hard water. Most places don’t have 120 mg/liter of calcium carbonate; especially bottled water.
