Thank you for pointing this out, Abbey, I get so scared hearing Glucose Goddess talk and start thinking any small effort of mine at healthy eating is no effort at all.

  • @liberallioness4335 says:

It’s exhausting I can’t have this I can’t have that….I should eat this but not that… Is it any wonder why people have such a messed up relationship with food

  • @elizabethrose3452 says:

I agree with this, and have always been very attuned to the fact that fruit makes me FEEL AMAZING!! Where processed sugar in sweets, without the fiber, vitamins, and minerals definitely gives me a weird blood sugar response and I feel yucky. But I’ve never understood why the diet culture industry is so against fruit. My morning smoothie makes me feel so good, and snacking on fruit keeps me better on track with my diet and getting in my micronutrients for the day. Sorry, but I’m a fruit girl, and I don’t think I’ll be giving it up! 🤷🏻‍♀️

  • @candysclinic817 says:

“They’re all the same molecules” They’re all literally different sugar molecules. A basic chem class would tell you this 😭😭😭. Fruit contains frucose and glucose. Table sugar is sucrose. While sucrose is a disaccharide made up of one fructose molecule + one glucose molecule, it’s still broken down in the body differently.

    • @21972012145525 says:

The weird thing is I think she is scientifically trained. It makes no sense

    • @ViCT0RiA6 says:

Thank you this is the one thing that’s always puzzled me about how this woman approaches this topic, and why she says that, the sugar molecules are literally structured differently

    • @griffitsbatmansuit says:

Literally and it’s not even that difficult to understand we learnt that in our first class of biomolecules in school, that’s just basic chemistry

  • @lei4eto says:

She is giving such fearmonger-y vibe, I used to follow her and then I realized she just pushes her supplements.

  • @21972012145525 says:

Guess what her answer is fir a glucose spike. Literally normal things you do in life. Washingndishes, working out, etc. it literally makes no sense

  • @ava4830 says:

Jep. I was listening to that podcast and had to stop before it finished. Too many inaccurate claims.

  • @julias5270 says:

Could someone please tell me the name of this full video? I couldn’t find it.

  • @patty4393 says:

Sugar in fruit and sugar in sweets both cause me to bloat. So I avoid both.

  • @CarynPretorius says:

Eating fruit is high key a hunger crushing combo because you’re bumping up sugar with water and fibre😂

  • @laurengedeon2653 says:

Fruit (with a meal) totally causes me blood sugar spikes, so her info is accurate for me.

    • @domcolettie says:

Eat the fruit with with some plain Joghurt and some whole nuts that will help to maintain a even blood sugar as fat and protein help to avoid spikes x

    • @laurengedeon2653 says:

@domcolettie  I have tried many times while wearing a CGM. As I wrote above, even after a full meal (protein/meat, veggies, fat), if I have even a small amount of fruit, my blood sugar spikes higher than it should. Fruit is definitely not a good food for me.

    • @nathanieljohnson5908 says:

      @@laurengedeon2653eat low sugar fruits then

  • @crocodilesmiles8095 says:

yeah I hate these clickbait anti sugar people…. my dad follows them to the tee so much so that earlier this year he gave himself hemmorroids bc he followed the carnivore and antisugar/”sugar is poison which is killing you” people too seriously. he still believes the sugar is poisoning thing and keeps trying to cut ALL fruit out of his diet bc of the “spiking of your sugar/insulin levels that fruit and carbs give you.” its driving me insane

    • @laurengedeon2653 says:

@@crocodilesmiles8095 Has your dad worn a CGM to know for sure what spikes his blood sugar? I have worn them twice already, and all fruit significantly spikes my blood sugar (even with a full meal with protein, fat, and fiber). Your Dad is probably right. We all react differently to different foods and food combinations. I do terribly with fruit, but one of my good friends says she feels great eating fruit (although I’m curious what her blood sugar readings are).

  • @michellehodgson-smith8502 says:

Plus, fruits and veggies are delicious 😋

  • @MagicShow-y4e says:

MODERATION IS KEY. I will say that a million times and I will never mind saying it again

  • @palpinknose says:

Thank you for posting this! “Glucose Goddess” is an influencer not a scientist. Getting tired of uninformed zealots on the internet

    • @laurengedeon2653 says:

@palpinknose  Glucose Goddess is in fact a scientist.

    • @palpinknose says:

She is not doing any kind of peer-reviewed research., Her claims/advocacy aren’t based on rigorous research. Real scientists and nutritionists do not look upon her kindly.

    • @laurengedeon2653 says:

@palpinknose  Noted. For me personally, her claims about fruit are accurate. All fruit causes me significant blood sugar spikes (even with a full meal, including protein, fiber, and fat).

    • @janehoe. says:

Because they contain sugar. Come on dude. @laurengedeon2653

  • @catalinareveco4486 says:

All this people commenting haven’t read her book or the studies that support her claims. Her method doesn’t tell you to quit sugar, but gives you a better order to eat your meals and it CHANGED my life.

  • @marcusbearr says:

People actually crave this simplistic. “All Food is bad” approach. It’s almost masochistic the way they want to look at all foods as poison and then beat themselves(and others) up for not having enough discipline to avoid something as nutritious as fruit

    • @griffitsbatmansuit says:

And i honestly don’t understand the Paranoia that some people have , like what are people supposed to eat if not fruits ,vegetables ,cereals, nuts, meats, we can’t survive on only suppliments

    • @elizabethrose3452 says:

@@griffitsbatmansuitI mean, technically you can survive on supplements. But, it’s not normal, or natural, or enjoyable. But yeah…masochists.🤷🏻‍♀️

  • @domcolettie says:

It’s also wrong she mentioned they all have the same molecules. I mean there are 4 different groups and some of them can turn into mct fats which have benefits in weightloss 😅

  • @yugoslava6409 says:

    Me too !!!!🤦‍♀️

  • @lucysky384 says:

Thank you….I swear this food mania has to stop. Moderation, people!
