I’ve not seen any difference after 6 months at 40 to be honest.

But then again, people always told me I look 10 years younger than I am so…

Just trusting the science on this one so I’ll continue taking it alongside glycine.

You probably already have a good diet. It did nothing for me either. I bet most of the people that get big improvements just have bad diets that are low in protein. Also, forehead wrinkles have little to do with collagen. It’s just tension in facial muscles because doing weird facial expressions all day long. That’s why botox is so effective, it relaxes the facial muscles.

If you’re health you probably won’t notice, but I don’t think that’s a reason to not take it.

      Exactly!

To slow down skin aging or even reverse it I recommend additionally tretinoin, ghkcu gel or injectiond (gel not to be applied with tretinoin) and spf50+ sunscreen (if ghkcu gel is used with it then it has to be compatible). This way you’ll boost different types of skin collagen with multiple methods, ghkcu even boosts elastin! All safe and effective, you could even do more stuff like microneedling are red light therapy but at this point it’s getting time and money consuming.

Same, I’ve been taking collagen peptides I II & III on and off for 8years, started glycine two weeks ago, maybe it’s working its magic soon 😂

  • @juha7830 says:

Good video. Maybe I should double my intake of glycine and collagen. I have hard time mixing collagen (Peptan®) to water while it makes sticky lumps. How do you take collagen powder?

  • @michk5149 says:

What peptides does siim use? Whats a snake oil and whats not?

  • @Hankyuo says:

What a timing 😂 I was researching why you take 10g glycine + 10g of collagen peptides rather than 20g of collagen peptides just 1 or 2 hours ago
    Thanks siim!

  • @timmyschannel5 says:

How best to take it? In warm water or some other way?

    • @MemesForACause says:

i like to put it in fruity kefir or some other flavorful milk bevarage and drink it in one go to have the taste masked. the taste isnt that bad, but dissolving collagen into just water is (for me) really disgusting… so yeah

You’ve helped me glow up! Tysm!

Can you do an overview of verisol collagen? They claim it’s better, but not alot of info out there about it.

Would gallstones be a problem if kidney stones are? 🙏

I have been taking collagen peptides for maybe 3-6 months and for a couple years before that, eating 25g of pork rinds per day (AI tells me that this denatures the collagen but I can’t see how breaking collagen down into aminos, something your body does anyway, is going to reduce the effect).

I do look significantly younger than my age. 10-15 years many would say. Part of that is being on the big 3 for 10 years now. Part of that is skin. The other part is healthy weight and some muscle from resistance training.

What I don’t understand is how, if you are taking 0.8g+ per lbs body weight, which I have done for the last 6 years, that your body does not have adequate aminos to produce sufficient collagen. Maybe you can explain that? But… I do it anyway.

And btw I mix my powders to take a couple scoops in the AM with some bran and berries at breakfast as follows. On the basis of your advice. I have allowed for about 3g of the collagen to be counted as a complete protein, so this gives 40g of complete protein, plus your recommended quantities. I underdose creatine as taking 3g+ gives finger joint pain.

    2kg plant protein
1kg complex protein (half whey half casein)
    1kg collagen
    625g glycine
    125g creatine
    7.5 g HLA

I eat about 10-12 olives to give me some healthy fats and fiber.

    Also take Astaxanthin.

    • @executivelifehacks6747 says:

The berries are frozen by the way and I mix with water. It’s a great start of the day whether I am dieting or not, as it’s always easy to overeat.

  • @mangolemon4117 says:

This halfway forced smile to not get wrinkles from smiling in his face hehehe

  • @snappiegappie says:

Been taking collagen for over a year now. No clue if it helps but i hope it supports my skin and ligaments.
I tried glycine for a while, and taurine as well. I dont know if it was glycine or taurine or the combination – but it made me not able to sleep. So i quit taking them

  • @juliusmartin1933 says:

Best type of collagen and brand?

  • @bene88597 says:

What about Lithium do you still take it?

  • @dawngonzalez508 says:

Great video! Can you please do a deep dive into increasing very low HRV?

  • @diaska5630 says:

Wow your forehead change is amazing! But haven’t you had botox? Or is it just glycine+collagen magic?

    • @Joptroot says:

All due respect but i really don’t belief his story. While Collagen Peptide might contribute to the skin its effects are much more subtile. Seeing his forehead without any wrinkle i think he also uses Botox. Which is completely fine, but if so should mention.
His whole face has really no expressions. His forehead doesnt move when talking. A ot of people use nonverbal facial expression. Which botox users ofcourse can’t as the muscle doesnt move.

  • @bricktea3645 says:

What about marrow peptides and beef spine extract?

  • @adamskee says:

53M , 3 years of 10 grams collagen a day for 3 years and recently added 10 grams glycine with it daily for the last 3 months and can definitely notice a difference.

  • @Casual_spectator says:

The problem with hyper dosing certain amino acids or whatever is that they never consider in the studies people actually having more than enough protein total daily.this is why I believe this is just a placebo if your total protein intake is very high you might be enough. I would love to be proved wrong with facts.cause I will consider supplementation.

  • @ash9x9 says:

3 weeks into Collagen peptides and my knee pain is gone, so it does work.
