    I love kaelie Mae!

  • @samcook_food says:

As a bro who hates avocados, I really struggle to be inspired by most WIEIADs. Anything I can substitute them for that has similar hunger crushing combo qualities?

    • @dreewilliams2658 says:

Hummus is a great alternative as well as pesto if your looking for something to replace the avocado in the sandwich. Hummus is very satiating and filled with protein

    • @walterco7701 says:

      Cottage cheese?

    • @ilovemyorangutan says:

      Nut or seed butter

    • @samcook_food says:

Thank you everyone for the suggestions. I do like hummus, and nut butter is always tasty, plus cottage cheese is a great source of calcium and protein.
Not everything is going to work in every dish, so I appreciate the variety of ideas 😁

    • @beakmug says:

I usually have two whole wheat / rye bread slices with a slice of cheese and a fried egg. usually I add some lettuce leaves and tomato slices for volume and season the greens with salt and pepper.

If I don’t wanna have bread or I’m in a hurry I usually eat some yoghurt with muesli (not granola, just a regular muesli because it’s not as high in sugar so it keeps you full for longer)

Hi abbey! I’m wondering: Isn’t this quite low on the calories? 🙂 love your content!!

    • @t3ntrip says:

it looks like she’s eating some calorie dense foods so even though the portions look small I’d bet she’s getting enough. One avocado has between 200 and 300 calories

    • @user-nr5he3ic9o says:

Well us well controlled T1Ds might have a couple of small snacks in between meals to prevent hypoglycemia. Especially if there is activity. Maybe she had more food but did not film it?

    • @Updog89 says:

How tall is she? Unless she’s very active this would be plenty of fuel for a short woman. The calorically dense avocado, avocado oil is great fuel and heart-healthy as well. Plus she has a mix of carb sources and dairy for fuel, too.

  • @leslieinadress says:

As a mom of a Type 1 I was ready to mama bear if needed but you did great.

  • @dvezha says:

I really love Abbey’s videos. She’s awesome. But lots of content creators in this sphere seem to misunderstand what “body checking” really is. It’s not someone filming themselves looking in the mirror. Body checking is a symptom of anorexia and involves scrutinizing your body, usually in private — pinching skin in various spots to check for fat, sucking in your stomach and making sure your ribs are prominent, pulling at neck/under chin, getting into a ton of poses to view yourself in the mirror at as many angles as possible… ect. It’s not cute and it’s not flattering. It’s not something meant to be witnessed by others. Not trying to nitpick! I swear! But as someone who has struggled with an eating disorder, I’ve been feeling the need to clear up any confusion over that term.

  • @Lizard_Queen-ld5uj says:

It’s not a “situation type deal”, it’s literally just food. A 37 year old woman talking like in an inarticulate teenager isn’t cute or funny.

  • @priyasawhney says:

Death meal being approved by a dietician so horrible Abby even loook like cruela too

  • @Anniew7815 says:

I love your personality and your approach to nutrition. You manage to eliminate a lot of the anxiety that seems often to go hand-in-hand with diet.

  • @seofra8252 says:

As the wife of a T1 diabetic, can you also show the sugary stuuf that your daughter has to consume to keep her sugar from crashing? I am so tires of being told my T1 husband shouldn’t have sugar as he’ll die without it.
