What I Eat in a Day Review 👀 @lenalifts, High-Protein Meals, No Calorie Counting & More!

Hey friends! Today I’m diving into another What I Eat in a Day—this time from fitness queen Lena Yeo aka Lena Lifts. We’re breaking down her no-BS, protein-packed, super simple daily eats. This day of eating actually feels way more balanced and realistic, so let’s talk about it. As always, these videos are for inspo not comparison, because eating like Lena ≠ looking like Lena. Everyone’s needs are unique, and for real nutrition advice, a dietitian is your BFF.

I love grinding carrots into bolognaise. My mom used to do this and to me, this is how it must taste. And sometimes I throw mushrooms into the foodprocessor and mix them into the beef.

  • @shaylaortega7647 says:

I have always had dessert every night and will always prioritize it. My favorite is Greek yogurt whipped with pb2 powder topped with dark chocolate and pomegranate seeds, and a drizzle of honey. I also love honey mama bars !!

    I love the black blouse!

  • @Emily-jj4si says:

I appreciate your nuance about calorie counting. It’s not always done to be restrictive – some of us are on meds that make it really hard to “hear” our hunger cues.

    • @duskjohnson8195 says:

I’m autistic, which makes it hard read my bodies cues. Having an idea of calories and macros is often useful

    • @Rechtauch says:

ED recovery here. Counting calories helps me to not go under my needs. Almost every day, must do I add a small yaourt with protein powder and berries at the end of the day because the app tells me I did not eat enough.

  • @mazemary8360 says:

Thank you so much for your gentle nutrition tips, they really made a big difference for me. What has helped me specifically is letting go of the thought that the components have to fit together or build a “normal” dish to make up a balanced meal. If I am only craving pasta with pesto I don’t have to add things directly to it, I can just have it and some cucumber and a protein bar before/after and it will fill me up the same. Still love your hack videos though, I always learn something new.

I now regularly try to add protein and fiber into my meals and it really makes me feel better for longer. I still eat quite a lot of sweets and comfort meals but I obsess less about it. So I think I’m on the right track.

  • @stavruler5098 says:

What do you think about the Doctorly’s latest video on aging? https://youtu.be/idz2_LDeAFQ?si=kBvfZfA-rGoe1en7 They talk a lot about weight, diet etc.

  • @ThomasAT86 says:

Yeeeah I love that you are against calling foods “healthy” or “junk”. I mean, sure, there’s foods that are absolutely unhealthy in pretty much any way, but there’s so many issues with that approach. I got first exposed to this when I did the Nutrition Coach Cert by Precision Nutrition. They basically put foods on a scale with one extreme being “eat more of” and the other being “eat less of”. This is a much more neutral approach and provides responsibility. The other one gives me these guilt-driven, all-or-nothing,… feelings. Same with “cheat” meals/days. Really don’t like it.

  • @shubhasv9803 says:

I eat 2 mini peanut butter cups every night after dinner. Just letting myself eat a bit of desert everyday has stopped those uncontrollable binges every 3 days. I feel much better and more balanced and relaxed.
