I’m from Germany and I never get the paprika hype😂 I know almost every German loves them but imho “salt & pepper” or “sour cream + onion” tastes sooo much better😅
Or a good salt and vinegar?? Haha
It’s so weird how I grew up thinking Paprica was just the standard crisp flavor everywhere lol.
Haha it’s definitely not 😅
Same here 😂 I grew up in Germany ane that was just the standard 😅
No clue why there was so much paprika. It is comone but there usualy should be other flavours as well.
Paprika is a spice that is very common in Baltic cuisine (German, Hungarian, Polish, Czech, etc.) Hungarian paprika is incredible!
Baltic Like in “baltic sea” and you Just throw czechia and hungary in the Pot. 😂 Hungary is closer to the mediterrane SEA than the baltic sea. Baltic cuisine would be a fish focused cuisine and ia definetly not the reason that Paprika is so popular. The Origin is more in the hungarian cuisine, as one of Chips bags even stated “ungarische” = hungarian. Hungarian was part of the austrian Hungarian Empire and so Paprika came from the south to Germany and was probably one of the First spices introduced to us.
Canada does seem to be really expensive.
Did you by chance leave a comment on a Paul Davids short recently, too?
It is. Some food items are 2-3 times the price you’d pay in Germany or the UK, and it’s lower quality. If you buy hummus from the supermarket, they use soybean oil and citric acid instead of olive oil and lemon juice 🤢
Yeah it’s crazy
It is
Canada has become incredibly unaffordable and nobody seems to be doing anything about it. And record profits for a couple of grocery monopolies. 😢
Hahah, that dinosaur 😂🫶🏻🦖wish I could meet you two. Hope you had/ have a great time here in Germany 😊. Greetings from a german vegan petrolhead 😊
Haha good catch 😂
Awesome
Often the beans in glasses are the bio and more expensive ones, the cheaper beans are canned.
From England here. I love paprika especially the dried smoked that I buy in our local supermarkets. It’s great to add to stir fried veggies for fahitas as a midweek quick and tasty meal here. I’m trying to grow it in my small greenhouse but no luck yet.
I love paprika too! It’s just funny seeing so many chips in that flavour
@@Simnettnutrition I know, when we travel to balmatic islands for our holidays each year it’s either Paprika or salted, love i5 though!
*Balmatic = Balearic (Majorca, Spain)
Very similar to what we have here in the Netherlands (just next to germany), watch out for a “vega” symbol that look just like the vegan one, too, but actually means vegetarian, i was caught up a few times by it as well. Though sometimes when you look at the ingredient list, it actually seem to be vegan, the “vega” logo is just not a promise. ._.
Otherwise yeah, things are quite good around there, lots of vegan options.
I’ve just gotten really into paprika, how funny! Now I want to visit Germany
you would love it then! haha
Would love to try the vegan Frikadellen. My husband’s family is Danish and I used to make it before I went vegan.
Its so good
The selection is awesome. I’m a bit jealous 😉
You and me both!
Maybe Germany understands about price gouging disallowing it, and why glass is better. I keep wondering why Organic foods are put in plastic everywhere. Even the fresh produce arrives to grocer free, and the grocer wraps it in plastic.
Google Translate was a life saver while grocery shopping in Mexico. Love to watch your videos and so glad you are having a wonderful time in Germany.
Yes! Thank you!
❤❤❤
Nice to see they have so many vegan options. I’ve never seen beans in glass jars in the us.
so grateful for this🙏🏼 i hope the vegan selection will be more dominant everywhere in the world soon🌱♡♥︎
Paprika Chips are Tasty. Have you tried them? But nowadays i prefer the salty ones 😋
Wish you would visit Denmark, not just Copenhagen.
