Ooh what about legs up the wall!
Congratulations to Dr. Greger for being one of the only Americans alive to know that it’s “lying down”, not “laying down”. When you are tired, you don’t lay down, you lie down. It is a mistake so ubiquitous in America that you will almost never hear the correct word used, even in professional work like Hollywood movies, news reports and medical reports.
Or is he lying? 😉
My 8th grade English teacher told us ‘You lie down. Lay is what you do to someone else.’ Point taken, Mr. M.
I say lie down…but…much to your and my chagrin language is always morphing and changing. Being the daughter of an English professor I’ve had to come to accept that language is not frozen in time. Colloquial usage can become the new norm.

I have been waiting for Dr. Greger to reveal this info since he first mentioned knowing about it at a conference two years ago. I do not see it in any of his books.

Look at the bright side. Hopefully you ignored their advice years ago to add pepper to turmeric.
Nobody ‘burns fat’, not unless they set it on fire!
Fat is stored energy – plain and simple.
The only way we reduce stored fat, Adipose fat, is to be in, and maintain, a calorie deficit.
We have to eat the correct diet of course, macros and, micronutrients, and, create an insulin sensitive environment – reduce processed foods/sugars, and eat higher protein foods/nutrient dense fats.
Oh yes, and increase activity levels.

In theory, You can just rock back & forth on a teeter inversion inversion table for 15 minutes, and get quicker results then just laying down for an hour
I was one morning thinking since my sleep apnea is mainly positional and most of it because chin tucking that trendelenburg position could be actually be good for me. I want to get off cpap machine eventually.
Craziness. You guys remember when these guys told us to add pepper to tumeric was supposed to be so healthy? Remember, years ago, we were told curcumin absorption goes up 1000%. Now we find out doing so causes liver damage.
“The way to a person’s stomach may be through their heart.” I can only imagine how tickled Dr Greger was when he came up with that one! (-;
Wonder if it is only water or will something like tea do the same thing?
