I am concerned that astaxanthin will blunt the beneficial effects of exercise, as this has been seen with high dose antioxidants? Have you noticed and changes in response to exercise(i.e. less gains)?
If he’s working out and eating protein, he’s not going to see “lost gains”. These differences can only be teased out by RCTs.
Cardiologist William Davis says collage peptides also have a good effect on your aorta. Also, cardiologists in general think supplementing omega 3 is a bad idea if you’re on a blood thinner, though eating fish is good.
What exactly is in collagen that makes it beneficial? It gets broken down to various amino acids like any other protein so I don’t understand this obsession.

@ Dr. Davis thinks we don’t get the collagen we need because we don’t eat the brains and other organs of the animals we eat.
@@Seanonyoutube Hydrolyzed collagen (HC) is a group of peptides with low molecular weight (3–6 KDa) that can be obtained by enzymatic action in acid or alkaline media at a specific incubation temperature. Peptides are small enough to be adsorbed directly without being metabolized into separate aminoacids.
I’m nearly on the same stack (nearly same age as you) but I do take a really well made multivitamin (the one from dr brad) which contains B3 for NAD+ precursors, boron and much more at low doses for maintenance primarily
