  • @Diana-qp2rw says:

I’m still struggling with this, but I had a small portion of ice cream yesterday when I wasn’t with other people and just felt like it – and that’s a success, I didn’t even feel guilty about it.

Small amounts of sugary treats won’t make anybody fat or diabetic. People who exercise a lot can burn it right off, especially if you do this right after a big meal. There are other things you can do to make dessert healthier, too. Like, having fiber before and water after. I buy a black forest cake every three months. That’s how long it takes for me to eat it, too

    • @olive872 says:

That also plays into food guilt though. You dont have to “burn” dessert off or make it healthier. People can just eat cake. They don’t have to overthink it.

Thanks very much for this!! I love HCC ‘s but sometimes I just want an apple….just an apple. No nut butter or plain greek yogurt (I LOVE both these combos too) but sometimes I just want the apple. 😂

  • @CJ_536 says:

I mostly agree, but as someone who has always struggled with overeating this type of food, I have found the hunger crushing combo to be almost miraculous in helping me manage my tendency to binge. So, even yesterday on Mother’s Day, when I wanted to enjoy some decadent ice cream, I made sure to add some sunflower seeds and blackberries to it to balance it out a bit. And it really kept me from overeating. Because once upon a time, I would have had way too much of the ice cream, like a half gallon by myself, and adding the fiber helped stop me. So I have found that when I want to enjoy birthday cake, if I throw some strawberries in the mix and use those to dip into the frosting, the fiber slows down my eating and fills me up faster, and instead of eating half the cake, I enjoy a piece with everybody else.

I agree that having too many rules can make this just one more area where guilt would rise. And if there is no package of berries next to the cake at work, then I don’t make a big deal of it, and I have a piece, but whenever it is within my power to do so, I lean into the hunger crushing combo.

Please don’t downplay the power of what you’ve given us.

Gotta have sometimes foods sometimes 😂

  • @xxxFrostBitexx says:

Thank you! Sometimes you just want to enjoy – you don’t eat cake to stop hunger but to be happy. So just eat the cake and make a healthy meal for dinner.

I wouldn’t mind hearing what you think of people who are eating carnivore or ketovore & also eating sticks of butter since your videos keep getting recommended by YouTube.
