Such great information. Terrible shame that the good doctor slurs so much of his content. Turn on closed captions, and you will see words like hibiscus transformed into hsss or he’s or hs. Please, Doctor Greger, slow down your speech for those of us who want to hear your content.

    • @pamw3238 says:

Love you Dr Gregor ❤️ Thank you soooo much for all the information you provide!!!❤❤

    • @michaelreid6355 says:

Open your ears and stop moaning. There is nothing wrong with his voice. I heard every word as clear as day.

    • @KarenNBvW says:

Quite frankly I truly appreciate his ability to pack as much info as possible into his vids! Love somebody who can talk almost as fast as one can read! Most videos other I refuse to watch simply because I can read the content in 1/2 the time!

    • @debstayblessed9549 says:

He is on his treadmill. Sorry. The cc may help you.

    • @catlyn777 says:

You might need your hearing checked because having trouble with understanding speech can be the first thing you notice.

  • @Joseph1NJ says:

Where’s that time stamp dude when you need him?

  • @cynthiadillon-munsterman5095 says:

Can’t wait for the Portfolio diet videos!!! You are awesome Dr. Greger!!!!

  • @KasKade7 says:

Took Niacin 500mg, but flush was kinda strong. So I took 100mg daily, expecting the flush 5 times smaller. Did not make any difference. Still strong flush. Strangely, some days no flush at all. Almost forgot I took Niacin. I tryed to figure out what affects the flush, no luck. Empty stomach or after food doesnt seem to make a difference for me….

  • @startingtoday4663 says:

does yellow mustard work instead of mustard seeds ?

    • @lincolnanderson4228 says:

Mustard sauce like you buy in the store is often heated during preparation to ensure shelf life, so the enzyme needed is deactivated. Homemade mustard sauce would work if the recipe does not require heating ( some online recipes just mix the ingredients, some require heating on a stove).
      Fresh mustard greens would work.

  • @stephaniel3378 says:

😂 beef up😂 looking forward to those new videos ❤

  • @jakobw135 says:

Every time you deal with a question of protein, you do NOT address the fact that as we age we digest and absorb LESS efficiently – correct?
Well, in order to maintain proper protein levels, don’t you need to eat MORE?

    • @edrod3578 says:

There are bodybuilders that are whole food plant based. Check out Naiman Delgado and Ammon Ra. Food will not substitute for resistance training to maintain or increase muscle mass.

    • @KarenNBvW says:

His “How Not to Age” goes into this thoroughly?

    • @catlyn777 says:

He’s addressed it. Look it up.

    • @Jeffs60 says:

@@edrod3578 Jim Arrington, 91, Guinness world record oldest bodybuilder eats daily, cottage cheese, beef, chicken and fish, also has raw salads with each meal, consumes about 1 liter of olive oil per week and has moderate carb intake.

    • @edrod3578 says:

Jim, Ed Rodriguez 72 here. While it is evident that many do go that route, the evidence is out that the long-term effects are plaque build up in the arteries, destruction of the endothelial lining, and excess fat build-up throughout the circulatory system, as well as in and around all the organs. These are long-term effects that sooner rather than later lead to medical conditions that are grouped under what doctors call Syndrome X. If you’d like to learn more on this topic, see Dr. Peter Rogers channel. Also, if going to the gym seems to be impractical, see the Pacific Rim Athletics channel. At one time, I used the Charles Atlas method of resistance training. Hope the information helps out.

  • @theziz5289 says:

Thank you for all the valuable information add Greger! When you mention eggs not being recommended, you discuss their impact on cholesterol levels. I’m just wondering what your thoughts are on eating egg whites as a source of protein without all that cholesterol?

  • @KST9182 says:

Dr. Greger – we really love to **see* you in person as we used to – is that something we can bring back please! Huge thanks for amazing content. 👍

  • @Just4AZ1 says:

I like eggs and dairy in moderation. My cholesterol levels are in check for a 70 yr old. The difference is I have no chronic diseases like 90% of those over 65 due to resistance training and cardio and keeping my weight in check.

  • @andrewpawley8883 says:

    I love these podcasts!

  • @catlyn777 says:

I need that portfolio diet but I followed your recommendations and changed my diet significantly for a year, and though my cholesterol is much better but still isn’t great. 😢how long can it take?

  • @celesteburrows2619 says:

Eating frozen fruit while still frozen has additional benefits. During the time spent thawing, frozen fruit loses much of its polyphenols. The author of Eating on the Wild Side – who uncovered the research showing this – recommends thawing as fast as possible such as in microwave, or I dunk in hot or boiling water. But eating while still at last partly frozen works too.

  • @4850937 says:

Chlormequat: Is it a problem? I heard of it in oats.
